Following our 2026 Eisteddfod, we'd love to hear from our community as we begin planning for next year.

We have received valuable feedback from competitors, families, teachers, volunteers and supporters, and invite anyone with an interest in the Rockhampton Eisteddfod to join us for a community review meeting.

💛🎶 19 incredible days. Hundreds of performances. Countless memories. 🎶💛

Behind every session, stage change, programme, trophy, late night and early morning was an incredible team of volunteers giving their time to keep the magic of the Rockhampton Eisteddfod alive 🌟

Here’s a little glimpse behind the scenes of the people who helped bring the 89th Rockhampton Eisteddfod to life 💛

To our committee, convenors, volunteers and supporters, we thank you. This event simply would not happen without you. 👏👏

🎹🎼PIANO 2026 - COMPLETE 🎼🎹

What a beautiful evening celebrating the conclusion of our Piano sections at the 89th Rockhampton Eisteddfod💛

Congratulations to all of tonight’s award recipients and to every performer who has taken to the stage throughout our Piano week. The talent, dedication and musicianship we have witnessed across both our Instrumental and Piano sections has been truly outstanding 🎶

A very special thank you to our adjudicator, Daniel Johnson, for his expertise, professionalism and encouragement across both Instrumental and Piano throughout the Eisteddfod. The thoughtful feedback and support provided to our performers has been so greatly appreciated by competitors, teachers and families alike 🌟

We would also like to once again acknowledge and sincerely thank our incredible Convenor, Karen Baker 💛

As mentioned throughout our Instrumental week, Karen’s dedication, organisation and countless hours behind the scenes across both Instrumental and Piano have been absolutely invaluable to the success of these sections. Her ongoing commitment to our performers and the performing arts community is so deeply appreciated, and we are incredibly grateful for everything she contributes to our Eisteddfod year after year 👏👏

Thank you to all performers, teachers, accompanists, volunteers and supporters for helping make this year’s Piano sections so special 🎹

Please note, after 19 incredible days, our team will be taking a couple of days to breathe, sleep and recharge 💛

The final day of the 2026 Rockhampton Eisteddfod has arrived 💛

What an incredible 19 days it has been celebrating the performing arts across Speech & Drama, Dance, Vocal, Instrumental and Piano 🌟

Today we look forward to one last beautiful day of Piano performances, before celebrating our competitors at tonight’s Awards Ceremony 🎶

What another beautiful day of Piano we shared yesterday 💛

The level of talent, dedication and musicianship continuing to grace our stage throughout this week has been truly incredible to witness. From our youngest performers finding confidence on stage to our more experienced pianists delivering stunning performances, every session has been filled with memorable moments 🎹

We edge closer to the conclusion of our 89th Rockhampton Eisteddfod with only two days remaining of this year’s season 🌟

What a truly beautiful day we shared yesterday at the Walter Reid Cultural Centre 💛

From our youngest performers through to our pre teen pianists, the talent, dedication and musicianship displayed throughout Day 1 was simply outstanding. It has been such a joy to watch so many performers take to the stage and share their love of music 🎶

We are so excited to welcome another full day of Piano competition as Day 2 begins.

What an incredible three days of Instrumental competition we have shared at the 89th Rockhampton Eisteddfod💛

From outstanding groups at the Pilbeam Theatre to the beautiful soloists and duo/trios at the Walter Reid Cultural Centre, this week has been filled with exceptional musicianship, dedication and passion for performance 🎻🥁

Congratulations to all of our award recipients celebrated at tonight’s Instrumental Awards Ceremony 🌟 Your hard work, courage and love of music has been such a joy to witness throughout this week.

A very special and heartfelt thank you goes to our incredible Instrumental Convenor, Karen Baker 🥰

Karen’s dedication, organisation, calm presence and tireless work behind the scenes have helped create such a successful and welcoming Instrumental Eisteddfod experience for all our performers, teachers and families. The care and commitment she brings to our Eisteddfod year after year is truly invaluable, and we are so grateful for everything she does for the performing arts within our community 🥰👏
