Hey everyone, a few quick notes from our team!

We are seeking a new caravan, one that sleeps two children and one adult. It must be road worthy, and must be insurable as it will be used to support a family leaving violence. Our budget is $15,000 for the right caravan.

If you're interested in supporting our mission, we would love to hear from you - are you Website savvy? Fundraising savvy? Social media savvy? Or just eager like a beaver (🙋‍♀️ that's me haha)

Things have been testing us behind the scenes here, but we are really hopeful with the fundraising in the bank climbing that we will find the right way, and reduce our numbers of families returning to Domestic and Family Violence here in Rockhampton.

Broken Ballerina Inc.

🚩 DVConnect is a Government Funded Tax Payer's Service that is meant to serve the Queensland Community in Domestic Violence Crisis.

🚩 Below is just one woman's story told to Not For Profit Domestic Violence Queensland Service Broken Ballerina, who receives alot of calls from distressed victims after they have been turned away from DVCONNECT.

🚩 This is a clear indicator why Australia is in a Domestic Violence Crisis. Our Government throws thousands of dollars into Domestic Violence services that remain;
•Uneducated
•Ignorant
•Compassionateless
•Black and White
To our Domestic Violence Crisis.

🚩 The question must be asked, "What do these Government Domestic Violence Services do with all the Tax Payer's Money if they are not actually helping Domestic Violence Victim's"

🚩 Thankfully we have Not For Profit Domestic Violence Services such as, Broken Ballerina Inc, who work tirelessly and genuinely to actually helping Domestic Violence Victim's.

🚩 However they will Never be able to make the difference that is genuinely needed without our Governments help.

🚩 Shame on you SHAME!

To all our supporters, a HUGE thank you!
Our AGM is to be held on the 18th of January, bellow is a small clip from my report:

"We know that having an additional stream of accommodation made available, will curb the flow on effects of what we are seeing with the Housing Crisis, where families are put under pressure and torn apart.
In 2025, we continue to define our future planning as we lean further into the state of things surrounding Domestic and Family Violence here in CQ.
The name Yellow Paint Incorporated is inspired by a love of Vincent van Gogh, and the long time confusion that he ate yellow paint as a way to self medicate. Inspiring the confirmation of modern day understanding that most are self medicating in some way, and many are at the mercy of their own will.
By starting this organisation I was continuing my own healing journey, and I hoped to inspire the people around me, and the community here in Rockhampton to find a way to dig deep and do their part, for themselves and the broader community; we can all lend a hand to the big picture.
We are starting out strong this year, with a great group of volunteers supporting our fundraising efforts at Bunnings Sausage Sizzles, and a fantastic self contained caravan which sleeps two, and could be stationed anywhere, at any time."

Thanks to a very generous member of our community, this Christmas we were able to:

🎁 Buy some presents for families

⚙️ Organise fixing a washing machine for a family who’ve finally gotten long term housing

🚞 And book a ticket for a woman who left violence to get back down to Brisbane.

A huge (belated) Merry Christmas from us here at Yellow Paint Incorporated! 🎄💜🎅🏼

A few quirky costume / retro clothes left! $2 a bag, today only from 7am-12pm at 5 Jones Street. There is a garage sale alongside, so if you’re in the market for some brickabrack, coffee tables or craft items come take a look!

We are needing to connect with local professionals that could guide us through legal jargon on setting up emergency accommodation for people leaving violence.
We have officially fundraised a self contained caravan that could be situated, but we are concerned about how to go about the next steps to ensure privacy and safety of any occupants.
