The Hinchinbrook Blue Light Branch will be running movie Nights during the School Holidays at our HALIFAX HALL.
15 Argaet St Halifax - the Blue Building beside the community hall.

Two events with featured Movies on

SATURDAY NIGHT - 27th September
and
Saturday 04th October 2025

Movies commence at 1800 Hrs (6.00pm) on each night with Hot Dogs and popcorn available for purchase on the night.

A huge thank you to members for attending the July monthly and AGM of the local Branch.
Apart from general business the branch has held its AGM and the following members have been appointed as Executive.

Mark Regazzoli - President
Michelle Jardine - Vice President
Erin Cross - Treasurer
Jess Frederickson - Secretary

Events Committee. All current active members have nominated to assist Under the leadership of Merle Rosadi ( EXEC - Catering and Funds Raising)

We welcomed new members to the branch who have completed the Online Application and onboarding process.
The branch decided to fund raise and apply for a grant to replace our food van that was written off due to water damage and mold issues from the major wet event earlier this year.

Hopefully the grant is successful, and the branch can return to the local markets with our famous Bacon and egg burger, Mince Bun and a BBQ Sausage selection.
Plans to expand our menu selection were discussed and a new "novel" idea is on the things to do list.

Blue Light - aims at Youth development and Ideas to support youths in the community , accordingly we moved to continue the sponsorship toward our Youth Achievement awards with the local Schools and Sporting groups for the Herbert Area.

The Members would like to thank Councilor Donna Marbelli for taking the time to attend and Chair our AGM.

Volunteering gives back to our community, and like all volunteer groups our numbers are declining, mostly due to the age of the members, SO we are always open to new members and Ideas to help with this very worthwhile group.

Last night was BL break up at the hall
Small group of volunteers were able to make it with their family
Great food and lots of chatting with plenty of laughs
A wrap up by Mark for the year achievements with award certificates handed out to members and then the cutting of the 40 year BL cake was done by Kev who has been a member for 10 years
Well done everyone !
We may be a small group but our hearts and committment are for supporting our local youth

Ally RHODES is Hinchinbrook Blue Light youth of the month award recipient for August 2024. Ally was nominated by Jane Hobbs from Ingham State High School.

Ally was School captain for 2024 and always displayed leadership, integrity and reliability. Ally is a hardworking and dedicated student who encourages others to do their best at all times.

Ally is involved with many community groups and is a very talented sportswoman. Ally is a member of the Ingham squash club and is a Queensland squash representative. She is also a Queensland schools representative for squash at state and national level. Ally is also a valuable team member of the Ingham women’s wolves soccer club. On top of all this, Ally works part time at Mitre 10 Canegrowers as part of a school based traineeship.

Ally is pictured with Senior Police Liaison Officer Michelle Jardine from Ingham Station who is also a Hinchinbrook Blue light member.

Nathan LENZO is 15 years old and is the Hinchinbrook blue light youth award recipient for the month of July.

Nathan works casual at KFC and has secured a student based traineeship for a certificate III in hospitality.

Nathan has been swimming for the past 4 years and attends carnivals around Queensland. He was picked to attend the NQ games and the QLD sprints in Brisbane this year. Nathan walked away with a few medals at the NQ games this year.

Nalini SCHOFIELD was the Hinchinbrook blue light youth award recipient for the month of May.

Nalini is 15 years old and is a very good all rounder when it comes to academics and sports. She has been training at Hinchinbrook aquatics for the last 7 years and attends several carnivals around Queensland and has made it to the NQ games and Queensland sprints each year. Nalini also coaches in swimming and gymnastics and is in the surf lifesaving too.

Nalini juggles all this and achieves very high results academically at Ingham state high school.
