This illustration of the Southern Brown Tree Frog by our very good friend is the fourth in a little series we are doing , profiling the fauna of Swan Bay and surrounds , and their preferred habitats.

Southern Brown Tree Frogs leap to catch flying insects such as mosquitoes, moths and flies ✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️
They can be found at some distance from water sources

Encouraging habitat for frogs by providing a water source such as a pond or dam can assist with maintaining a balanced system on your property.

The following plants will provide habitat for frogs.

We're very excited to be joining the St Georges Flower Show this SATURDAY 17th OCTOBER
From 9am -2pm at The Old School Hall

Jacob , our nursery manager and the nursery volunteers have put together a wonderful collection of plants for sale and we will be giving you a taste of what's on offer, in the lead up to Saturday.

SBEA Volunteers and QIN's current manager Jacob will be at St Georges Flower Show this Saturday - with a tent full of lovely plants indigenous to the Borough. They will be ready for you to purchase and take home to plant.

A date for your diary

🦅 If you missed the announcement last week, the Victorian Government’s Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) will host a community information session about the H5 bird flu on Wednesday 21 October from 5:30 pm – 7 pm at Wirrng Wirrng (Queenscliff Hub).

🐦 No registration is required, and anyone seeking information about H5 bird flu are encouraged to attend.
