✨ May was Eczema Awareness Month, and what a huge success it was 💙

Our Australian and New Zealand teams worked incredibly hard behind the scenes throughout the month to bring our community extra resources, education, support, and our recent webinar, all aimed at helping people better understand and manage eczema 🤝

A huge thank you as well to everyone who attended our recent webinar, The Eczema Patient Journey: From First Symptoms to Specialist Care 💻
We’re excited to share more resources, follow up information, and webinar Q&A content with you over the coming weeks.

❄️ The Winter edition of Living with Eczema magazine is also hot off the press!

The digital version is also now available in the members portal for all members, so grab a cup of coffee or hot chocolate ☕ and settle in to enjoy some fantastic articles, tips, and updates.

Some of our team have also just returned from the Australasian Dermatology Conference held in Melbourne 🇦🇺 This was a fantastic opportunity for the Eczema Association to connect with dermatologists from across Australia and New Zealand, dermatology nurses, patient support groups, and many of our valued corporate partners who were also attending 🩺✨

We’re also so pleased to see our corporate partnership program continuing to grow 🌿 Many of these partners are featured throughout Living with Eczema magazine, and we encourage our community to look for the Eczema Association logo when shopping for skincare and household products 🛒

The logo helps families make informed choices by identifying products that have been assessed as suitable for eczema prone skin 💙

There are also many products suitable for eczema prone skin that may not yet display our logo, so if you are ever unsure about products or looking for recommendations, please reach out to our team. We’re always here to help 😊

Eczema care can feel overwhelming, especially when you are not sure what the next step should be.

For many people in Australia, the journey starts with speaking to a GP. Your GP can help assess your eczema, suggest treatment options, and support you with a management plan. If eczema is ongoing, severe, affecting sleep, or not improving with treatment, your GP may refer you to a dermatologist or specialist for further care.

This Eczema Awareness Month, we want our community to feel more informed, supported and less alone. Wherever you are in your eczema journey, help is available and you do not have to navigate it on your own.

A huge thank you to Bendigo Bank for supporting the Eczema Association Australasia through the Bendigo Bank Community Grant Program. 💙

Thanks to this funding, we have been able to continue developing Stage 2 of our website and membership portal project, which has already made a significant difference to our association and community.

Since September 2025, the project has helped us implement a streamlined and automated membership system, improve access to trusted eczema resources, and begin building a centralised online portal where members and subscribers can access educational materials, recipes, bonus resources, and our Living with Eczema magazine library all in one place.

This project is helping us reduce administration time and create a more accessible, user-friendly experience for our community, while allowing our team to focus more time on awareness, education, and support initiatives.

We are incredibly grateful to Bendigo Bank for believing in our vision and helping make this project possible. We truly would not have been able to achieve this stage of development without their support.

Accessing treatment shouldn’t be an issue for anyone with asthma. Yet, we are woven together by many similar challenges.
