A simple home safety check could make a big difference. NSW Fire and Rescue offers free home fire safety visits, where local firefighters can:
✅ Check your smoke alarms
✅ Replace batteries if needed
✅ Install a long-life smoke alarm free of charge if your home doesnt have one
✅ Provide personalised fire safety advice for your household

These visits can be especially valuable for:
- Older adults
- People living alone
- People with reduced mobility, hearing or vision
- Families supporting someone to remain living independently
