A great few days spent with these amazing women in Forbes for Empower Her Journey. It was incredible to see women travelling from communities including Condobolin, Cowra and Peak Hill to come together to learn more about business, building ideas, creating opportunities and securing funding to achieve their business goals.

A big thank you to Binaal Billa Family Violence Prevention Legal Service for hosting our workshop and supporting this important space for Aboriginal women 🖤💛❤️

Exciting news for our Elders 🤎

Strong Spirit Services Ltd has been successful in receiving a Community Innovation Grant through the Ubuntu Foundation and Rural Health Research Foundation

This means we can deliver our Old Ways Strong Ways Program for our Elders, bringing people together through culture, connection, and wellbeing activities throughout this year.

We’re excited to get started and share this journey with community.

🌿 She Grows Strong Program 🌿

Our She Grows Strong program supports Aboriginal girls aged 10–18 through small, culturally safe groups led by Lori-Ann. Across three hands-on sessions, participants build confidence, strengthen cultural identity, and connect with community.

Through storytelling, cultural art, creative design, and cooking traditional foods, girls learn, share, and grow in a supportive environment.

Each participant receives a She Grows Strong T-shirt, reinforcing pride, belonging, and identity beyond the program 🖤💛❤️

This program will be delivered by Strong Spirit across 2026.

📣 OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT 📣

We are proud to announce that Strong Spirit is now a provider under the NSW Family Preservation program, commencing from 1 July 2026 as part of the statewide reform to better support children and families.

Previously delivered by mainstream providers, the program is now being delivered by Strong Spirit, an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (ACCO), ensuring services are culturally strong and community-led.

We will work hard with our community to support families to be strong and stay together at home, delivering help that keeps children safe, strengthens families, and fosters connection and wellbeing.

This represents an important step forward in ensuring families are supported in ways that are led by community, grounded in culture, and focused on achieving long-term outcomes for children and families 🖤💛❤️

Dubbo delivered 💥

A powerful few days delivering Empower Her Journey, with women stepping into the space ready to learn, share and grow. From shaping business ideas to understanding funding pathways, the conversations and energy in the room were strong.

A deadly few days on Ngemba Country in Brewarrina delivering the Empower Her Journey program, with women joining us from Brewarrina and Bourke.

Our participants learned how to start and grow their own businesses, develop ideas, and navigate applying for funding and resources. Through these workshops, mentoring and hands-on guidance, our participants will gain the skills and confidence to turn their ideas into real opportunities 🙌🏽🖤💛❤️

Today Arlene and Lori-Ann attended a one-day roundtable at the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence in Redfern, hosted by Cancer Institute NSW.
The roundtable focused on skin cancer prevention, screening, and early detection pathways for Aboriginal communities.
We’re proud to have our team contributing to conversations that support better health outcomes for our mob🌿🤝
