Help link Kendall to Laurieton for walkers and bike riders. 🚴🏻🚶🙏 The community of Kendall/ Kew and Laurieton have been pushing for a shared path from Kendall to Laurieton as part of the Schools to Schools for many a long year.

The plans are drawn up, yet still no money to construct this vital path.
That's why the community have created this petition to get this path funded.

So we are calling on all 1600 of our followers and 120 of our paid members to get behind this petition so kids and adults alike can ride or walk from Kendall through to Laurieton safely.

We've put a link to the petition in the comments. Let us know in the comments when you've signed it.

Thanks bike riders and walkers of Port Macquarie Hastings Council LGA. Let's give them a hand to make this path a reality.

Join us for the Tour de Kew for next week’s Tuesday Trails (August 25th).
The Tour de Kew starts in Kew and travels to Kendall and Logan’s Crossing and beyond.

Where: Meet at the Royal Hotel Kew carpark
When: Tuesday August 25th, at 8.45 am for an 9.00 am start.
Distance: 27 km
Elevation: 390 m
Surface: 75 % paved roads, 25 % gravel
Coffee: Kew General Store
Bike: Gravel, hybrid or mountain bike
Bring: A well-maintained bike with a spare tube and helmet, water, snacks and sunscreen and money for a coffee.
First ride free, subsequent rides require joining us for an
annual fee of $25. You can join via the join us page on our website.

Another great bike maintenance workshop last Sunday. This one focussing on e-bikes.

The 6 participants all left stoked to understand their e-bikes so much better. After completing the course, they are all rearing to clean and oil chains, adjust brakes and change tyres.

Thank you Derek Archer so much for your informative and helpful workshop. Thanks again Community College for letting use use the space so kindly.

Like to access our bike maintenance courses? Right now, these very affordable courses ($25 for a 3 hour course) are only available to members. Going forward, we hope to open them up to the general public, but demand is so great right now, we are restricting the workshops to members to start with.

Next Tuesday Trails is Telegraph Point to Rollands Plains...9am start

When: Tuesday the 18th of August at 8.45 am for an 9.00 am start
Meet: Log Wharf Reserve carpark at the end of Telegraph Point Road
Distance: 40 km
Surface: Bitumen
Elevation: 720 m
Time estimated finish: 11 am
Bike: Road, gravel or hybrid bike
Coffee: to be advised.
Bring: a well-maintained bike, spare tube and tools, water, a snack and sunscreen as required.

First ride free, however rides thereafter require joining us for an
annual fee of $25.

Look closely, could these markings be the first step to widening the path here? We know Stage 2 of the Westport Link Pathway has the footpath being widened to a shared path, but when construction starts on this stage is unclear from the website.

We're hoping that's what these markings mean.

Port Macquarie Hastings Council could you let us know the start in the comments if we're on the money or not.

Anyone else got insider knowledge on this one?

Here is the crew from the start and finish of the proposed Town to Googik Link Trail from last Sunday's ride, roll and run. 🚴‍♂️🧑‍🦽🏃

We were overjoyed to have so many important folk join us for the VIP Ride Through and here's proof they all made it the 3.2 km length.

Great to have so much support from everyone from Port Macquarie Hastings Council General Manager (who ran the trail!), to the 4 Councillors that attended, Port Pacers, Robert Dwyer MP and disability advocates like Sarah Eade, Glen Clarke and Meg McIntyre who showed us how important good paths can be fir accessibility.

Even had ABC Mid North Coast there with Cameron recording a story for Monday's Breakfast show.

Our BBB crew did us proud leading the way, supporting the ride and providing an awesome morning tea!🙏

📢🚫 Googik Track closed due to Hazard Reduction Burn this Sunday August 9.

Please keep clear of the Googik Track this Sunday as NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service are conducting hazard reduction burns from the Lake Road end all the way through to the trail to SCAS.

Thanks NSW National Parks for looking after our natural areas!

So if you've planned a Googik ride or walk for Sunday - you will need to reschedule.

Next weeks' Tuesday Trail is the Crescent Head to Gladstone Loop ride. It follows the Belmore River out on the right bank and returns along the left bank. It's a very flat, easy ride.

Where: meet at the Rankin Street carpark in the middle of town, Crescent Head
When: Tuesday 11th of August at 8.45 am for a 9.00 am start
Distance: 52 km
Elevation: 36 m
Surface: bitumen the whole way
Bike: Road, Gravel or Hybrid bikes
Bring: a well-maintained bike, spare tube and tools, water,
snacks, sunscreen as required.
Coffee: At the pop-up Gladstone Riverbank Cafe

First ride free, however rides thereafter require joining us for an
annual fee of $25.

Thanks to everyone that joined us for the VIP Ride Through of the proposed Town to Googik Link Trail. It was good to be able to get so many of the key players on a bike (or rolling or running) together to check out the trail. Also, super lovely to be cheered on by Of Kooloonbung as we rode through the reserve.

A massive effort by our Better By Bicycle volunteers who put together a beautiful spread for morning tea, mocked up some wayfinding signs and supported the many participants. 👏
