Earth Day 22nd April: the theme “Step Forward for Equality,” reminds us that climate justice is inseparable from gender equality. Climate change and environmental degradation disproportionately impact women and girls due to existing socioeconomic inequalities that limit access to resources, education, decision-making power and more. When we advocate for equality, we also advocate for sustainability, resilience and a healthier planet for us all.
