is an innovative art not-for-profit organisation based in Port Hedland, with a clear vision to engage, grow and empower regional creative industries. We advocate and connect regional creatives with workspace, learning opportunities and networks, to uplift their endeavours and create an environment which both local community and creatives can support each other. TJC team is made up of creative entrepreneurs, artists, strategists, graphic designers, place activators, community development and engagement specialists, teachers and lovers of art and craft, who seek to actively improve community membership and engagement, encourage a balance of work and play, improve liveability of local communities and assist in strengthening the Pilbara identity. The Junction Co.’s main office is located in Port Hedland, in the northwest Pilbara region of Western Australia, on beautiful Kariyarra Country. We acknowledge the Kariyarra, Ngarla and Nyamal people as the Traditional Custodians of these lands and waterways and the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia. We recognise their strength and resilience and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.

🎭 OUT OF THE PILBARA PUPPETS - OPENING THIS THURSDAY! 🐸♻️

We’re excited to announce that Out of the Pilbara Puppets opens this Thursday 8 October at REAP in Karratha! 🎉

The exhibition brings together a colourful collection of puppets created by young people from across the Pilbara, using recycled and repurposed materials to turn everyday objects into something imaginative and completely new. 🌱✨

And to celebrate the opening, we’ll also be hosting a puppet-making workshop from 2–4pm! 🎭

Come along, explore the exhibition and get creative with us as we continue transforming recycled materials into puppets.

🎭 MORE SPOTS ADDED FOR OUR YOUNGEST PUPPET MAKERS! ♻️

Our 5–8 year old workshop has been selling out, so we’ve added extra spots for this Monday! 🎉

If your little one has been hoping to join us, now’s their chance to get creative and help bring our recycled puppets to life for Out of the Pilbara Puppets! 🐸🦋🐙

♻️ WE’D LOVE YOUR RECYCLABLES TOO!

If you have any clean recyclable materials at home, please bring them along to the workshop! The more variety, the better for our puppet-making adventures.

We’re looking for things like:
🍎 Fruit boxes
🥛 Milk cartons
🧃 Juice containers
📦 Cardboard boxes
🥚 Egg cartons
🧵 Old fabrics and textiles
🔵 Bottle caps and lids
…and anything else you think could become part of a puppet!

Every little piece of recycled material can become something completely new. 🌱✨

Everyone with an interest in fashion, sustainability or both, who are 8 years and over (tweens, teens, adults, seniors, you're all included here!), we urge you to get involved in this wonderful project.
