APPA is seeking Expressions of Interest from eligible Australian athletes wishing to be considered for nomination to the **2026 WPA Heyball World Championships** in Pune, India, from **12–15 August 2026**.

🎱 North Queensland Ladies Team Representatives 2026 🎱

What a fantastic two days of eightball competition, with some of the very best ladies that North Queensland has to offer battling it out for a place on the 2026 representative team.

Over the two days, competitors produced a fantastic display of eightball, combining skill, strategy, and determination in every match. With team positions on the line, players were required to hold their nerve under pressure, overcome difficult opponents, and seize their opportunities when they arose.

Unfortunately, with only three positions available, the competition was always going to be tough. These ladies fought hard, climbed their way up the ladder, and proved themselves against a highly talented field of players.

Eightball North Queensland is proud to announce our North Queensland Ladies Team Representatives for 2026:

⭐ Louise Parker

1st Reserve:

These players will join:

Together, these ladies will represent North Queensland at the QLD Ladies Team Play-Off, to be held in Ipswich on the 1st and 2nd of August 2026.

The very best ladies players in the 50's & Over division travelled from across North Queensland to showcase their skills and compete for a place on the 2026 representative team.

Over the course of the event, spectators were treated to a fantastic display of eightball, featuring tough match-ups, top-quality cueing, and unwavering determination. Every player brought their best to the table, knowing that every frame could make the difference in securing a coveted team position.

Unfortunately, with only four positions up for grabs, the competition was always going to be fierce. These ladies dug deep, rose to the challenge, and produced some outstanding performances as they battled their way through a highly competitive field.

Women’s Trials - Mt Isa - North Queensland

The mental ability along with strategic direction and of course Stamina makes it a sport. Women’s trials in Mt Isa and everyone had to play around 60 frames of pool in the first day… what a great tournament and that was just day one.. another two days of it and we can’t wait! Congrats Mr Isa for putting a great tournament on and a magnificent venue!
