The article beautifully captures the spirit of yesterday’s interfaith gathering, hosted by the JCCWA, and its message of unity, mutual respect and shared responsibility.

As Rabbi David Freilich OAM reflected, “What unites us is far stronger than what divides us.”

Yesterday, the JCCWA was honoured to present 'One Table, Many Faiths: Finding Hope in Difficult Times', hosted by Rabbi David Freilich OAM and Dr Michael Levitt AM, together with the JCCWA Interfaith Committee.

The event brought together faith leaders and community representatives from across Western Australia for a meaningful afternoon of connection and conversation.

Representatives from different faith traditions shared readings on the theme of hope, peace and harmony, highlighting the values that unite us and our shared commitment to building a more respectful and cohesive community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed so warmly to the afternoon. We look forward to continuing these important conversations and strengthening the relationships formed around the table.

Hearing Block 7 of the Royal Commission will take place in Sydney tomorrow, Tuesday 4 August 2026.

The hearing will focus on protests and policing, with particular attention to events at the Sydney Opera House on 9 October 2023 and NSW Parliament House on 8 November 2025.

• Why every response helps ensure the Jewish community is accurately represented

When completing your Census on Tuesday 11 August , please remember to answer Question 24 (Religion) by selecting "Other" and writing "Judaism" .
