We’ve introduced a new Family Feedback Board as part of our ongoing Quality Improvement Process (QIP), and we’d love for you to be part of it! 💬

Your voice matters to us.
Whether it’s a suggestion, a reflection or something you’ve noticed your child enjoying, we genuinely value your feedback in helping us grow and improve.

It’s been wonderful already seeing families share their ideas and kind words on the board, and we’d love to hear even more.

Pop by during drop off or pick up, take a moment and let us know what’s working well or what we could do even better. 🤗 We'd love your input!

🌿❄️ Reconciliation Week – Exploring Nature Through Ice Play ❄️🌿
This week, the children connected with nature through a fun and hands-on sensory experience inspired by the outdoor environment. Together, they collected h***y nuts, leaves, sticks, wood chips, and other natural treasures from the yard before placing them into containers of water to create frozen nature blocks overnight.
Today, the children excitedly explored the ice blocks using wooden blocks and tools to crack, tap, and melt the ice, revealing the hidden natural items inside. They showed wonderful curiosity, problem-solving, and enthusiasm throughout the experience.
Through play and discovery, the children were encouraged to connect with the land, explore the natural environment, and develop an appreciation and respect for nature. 🍃💚

Snap, snap… 🐊 time to brush! 🪥

Our Pre-Kindy children have been learning all about healthy teeth and good brushing habits using some very helpful crocodile friends.
With their big smiles and lots of teeth to practice on, the crocodiles make learning how to brush properly fun and memorable.

Through playful experiences like this, children begin building important self-care skills, developing independence and learning why looking after their teeth is so important.

And let’s be honest… practising on a crocodile first makes brushing your own teeth feel a lot less tricky! 😄

⭐ 𝗦𝗲𝗲 𝗜𝘁. 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗜𝘁. 𝗦𝗮𝘆 𝗜𝘁. ⭐
Protecting every child, every day... together.

At Child Australia, we use a simple shared language for child safety - *See it. Stop it. Say it.*

Drawing on best practice and evidence-based research, we developed our own initiative *See it. Stop it. Say it.* and we're rolling it out across every service we operate.

It's the standard we hold our educators to. And it's how we invite you in.

👀 𝗦𝗲𝗲 𝗶𝘁. - Our educators are trained to notice the small things, body language, a shift in mood, an interaction that doesn't quite sit right. We use an Adult Behaviour Traffic Light Framework that names what's safe, what's concerning, and what's harmful — including the boundary-blurring behaviours that often go unspoken in our sector.

🤚 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗶𝘁. - When something doesn't fit our standard, we interrupt early. Quietly. Firmly. Before it becomes a problem.

🗣️ 𝗦𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝘁. - We have clear escalation pathways to service leaders, to Compliance Leaders, to Senior Leaders, and where required, directly to the Regulatory Authority. Raising a concern in good faith isn't just permitted at Child Australia. It's expected, supported, and protected.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘆𝗼𝘂

You know your child better than anyone. If something seems doesn't seem right in your child's mood, in our service, in interactions you observe, it matters to us. Please talk to your Service Leader or email us at [email protected]

We will listen, we will act and we will follow up with you.

This is how we build safety together. 💙

🌱 Reconciliation Week – Planting Tomato Seeds 🍅
During Reconciliation Week, our children enjoyed a hands-on planting experience focused on sustainability and caring for the environment. The children explored fresh tomatoes, helping to scoop out and investigate the seeds before carefully planting them into soil.
As they planted, the children discussed what plants need to grow, including water, sunlight, and care. They showed great enthusiasm, curiosity, and responsibility while nurturing their seeds and learning about caring for living things.
This meaningful experience encouraged the children to connect with nature, develop an understanding of sustainability, and work together as they explored the life cycle of plants. We look forward to watching our tomato plants grow! 🌿✨

There’s something really special about space that invites children to slow down, stretch out and just be.🛝

At Child Australia Lockridge Campus, our spacious outdoor environment is a place where children can explore freely, take safe risks and connect deeply with nature and each other.

Here, learning doesn’t stay inside four walls. It grows through running, climbing, digging, creating and discovering.

Children build confidence in their bodies, develop problem-solving skills and learn how to navigate friendships in a natural, unhurried way.

With open green spaces, natural play elements and ever-evolving environments, every day brings something new to wonder about.
Because when children have room to move, they also have room to grow. 🌿

Seeing the world through a different lens 👓

Our Kindy children have been busy getting creative, building their own “glasses” using loose parts and construction materials. What started as a simple table activity quickly turned into lots of giggles, role play and imagination.

Through activities like this, children are developing fine motor skills, creativity and problem-solving, while also exploring role play and social interactions with their friends. A few simple materials can spark so many ideas!

Sometimes learning looks like experimenting, building, pretending… and seeing the world through your own handmade glasses. 🧐

Little artists at work in our Nursery Room 🎨

Educator Naga introduced a fun painting experience using balloons. After blowing up the balloons, the children dipped them in paint and explored rolling, stamping and pressing them onto paper.

Activities like this allow our youngest learners to explore textures, colours and movement, while strengthening their fine motor skills and sensory development.

Most importantly, it gives children the freedom to experiment, express themselves and simply enjoy the process of creating... and that’s where some of the best early learning happens. 🤩
