It takes a community to create lasting impact. โœจ

Our Kenya outreach at Umoja Disability Centre would not have been possible without the incredible collaboration between local healthcare professionals, community leaders, volunteers and our generous sponsors.

A heartfelt thank you to the International College of Dentists (ICD) Section VIII for their generous grant, which enabled this outreach and allowed us to provide muchโ€‘needed dental care to children in the community.

We're especially grateful to Henry Schein Halas for providing essential dental equipment, instruments and oral care packs, and to Village Eco Life for supplying sustainable oral care products that support both healthy smiles and a healthier planet. ๐Ÿฆท๐ŸŒฟ

At our recent outreach at Umoja Disability Centre ( ) in Embakasi West, Kenya, we had the privilege of providing oral health education alongside clinical screenings and emergency dental care for local children.ย 

Throughout the day, we screened ๐Ÿ“๐ŸŽ ๐œ๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ซ๐ž๐ง and provided emergency dental treatment for ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ ๐œ๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ซ๐ž๐ง, while approximately ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ ๐œ๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐ž๐ฆ๐›๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ joined our ๐Ž๐ซ๐š๐ฅ ๐‡๐ž๐š๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก ๐ƒ๐š๐ฒ to learn practical ways to prevent dental disease and care for their families' oral health.

By working alongside Dr Bernadette, a local general dentist, and Dr Mark, a general practitioner from Lady Mercy Hospital, we hope the impact of this project will continue long after the outreach has ended. Prevention, education and strong local partnerships remain the foundation of lasting community health.
