Fortuna Foundation

Fortuna Foundation In life, however, some people dare to dream.

A registered Australian charity set up to inspire people to come together and help those less fortunate; by standing beside them at times of poverty and sickness; and not give up until we have together made a difference. In our capacity as members of Fortuna Advisory Group (www.fortunaadvisors.com.au), we believe that financial understanding and security are keys that enable people to transform th

eir dreams into reality. Coming from different socio-economic backgrounds, we have come across people with genuine financial struggles in life; and worse when such struggles lead to hunger, sickness, illiteracy and abuse. We know we can’t change the world in a day but step by step, we intend to make a difference – difference to the lives of those who are less by standing beside them through our humble activities and to our own by setting examples for our children to see and become better human beings in life. As Ernest Hemingway once wrote, there is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self’. Fortuna Foundation is our humble way of trying to live by our virtues and be noble by sharing the gift of life with those who have lesser of it.

⏳ Just 2 weeks away - don't miss this opportunity to have your say!

Homelessness. Mental distress. Cost-of-living pressure. Too many organisations are working in silos - competing for funding, duplicating effort, missing the gaps.

It's time to change that.

The World Café Community Forum is a free, facilitated consultation bringing together charities, community orgs, local government, funders, and people with lived experience to have the conversations that actually move things forward.

The NFP Consultation Event Perth Can't Afford to Miss

Homelessness. Mental distress. Cost-of-living pressures. These challenges aren't getting simpler - and too many organisations are tackling them alone, competing for the same funding, duplicating effort, and missing each other's gaps.

It's time to change how we work together.

📅 Monday 18 May 2026
📍 AIM WA, 76 Birkdale Street, Floreat
🕣 8:30am - 1:00pm | Free to attend

The World Café Community Forum is a facilitated, sector-wide consultation - not panels, not presentations. It's a rare, structured space for charities, community organisations, local government, funders, and people with lived experience to have the conversations that actually move things forward.

Led by Dee Roche (UWA Business School MBA Teaching Fellow and expert in World Café and collaborative systems change), participants will tackle questions like:

How do we collaborate intentionally and cut duplication?
How do we co-design solutions with lived experience at the centre?
How do we shift from funding competition to collective impact?

If you care about the future of the for-purpose sector in WA - this is the room to be in.
👉 Register free via Eventbrite: https://hubs.ly/Q04ct9vs0

Some conversations spark ideas. This one has the potential to change how we work together.

We acknowledge the support of AIM WA in helping to put this event together.

Fortuna Foundation is now proudly part of the Containers for Change program. This means that instead of throwing your recyclable containers in the bin, you can collect them and turn them into a donation to support a good cause.

When returning your containers, you can donate your refund by entering the charity’s Containers for Change ID at a depot, self-serve kiosk, or Drop & Go service.

Fortuna Foundation’s Containers for Change ID: C11675064
(Or just scan the barcode on the photo at the kiosk to make your donation.)

Eligible items include plastic bottles, glass bottles, drink cans, drink cartons, and bottle lids.

We would love your help in supporting our mission to give people who are homeless or less fortunate the chance to live healthier, happier lives. Every donation, no matter how small, truly makes a difference and is greatly appreciated.

We’ve had some very exciting news to kick off the year at the Fortuna Foundation!

Our main sponsor Ramelius Resources, has approved funding for a $10,000 upgrade to the washing machines in our Positive Spin Laundry Van.

This is a fantastic start to the year and will enable us to better support our mission and the people in need who rely on our services throughout 2026 and beyond.

Our Chair, Dinesh Aggarwal, shared his gratitude for Ramelius Resources’ continued support:
"On behalf of the Foundation, I want to express our deepest gratitude to Ramelius for their unwavering support over the years. Their commitment to helping address homelessness in Western Australia has made a real and lasting impact on the lives of many vulnerable individuals. Partnerships like this are vital in creating hope and dignity for those who need it most and Ramelius’ support enables us to continue delivering this important work"

Keep an eye out for the completed upgrade and upcoming updates, there are some very exciting times ahead!

Wishing everyone a relaxing and joyful Christmas break. 🎄⭐

We hope this time gives you the chance to reflect on the great things you’ve achieved this year and be grateful for the everyday joys we can sometimes take for granted.

At the Fortuna Foundation, we are incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved in 2025 and look forward to continuing our efforts to help people less fortunate in 2026.

Giving back is something we are truly proud to do, and we hope we can encourage others to do their best to make a difference and give back in any way they can.

Enjoy the break, and Merry Christmas!

Our CEO, Peter Schneider, made a special trip to deliver Christmas hampers to our much-appreciated No Limits team yesterday.

The No Limits team plays a massive role in the success of the Fortuna Foundation’s initiatives. By operating our Positive Spin Laundry Van and generously volunteering their time, their ongoing support helps us make a difference and achieve our mission.

Our sincere thanks go to Gordon Pressley, Derek Berry, and John Curedale (pictured left to right), as well as to Pat McDonnell, who was unable to be there on the day.

We wish you all a very Merry Christmas! 🎄

It’s today, a worldwide day of giving and positive impact.

We wanted to take a moment to restate what we do, why we do it, and how you can help.

Peter Schneider, our CEO, shares more about the heart of our mission and the work we do to support the wellbeing, dignity, and humanity of people in our community who are doing it tough.

One of the key ways we do this is through our Positive Spin mobile laundry van run by our incredible volunteers from No Limits Perth .

You can see when and where the van is operating here: https://fortunafoundation.org.au/find-us/
