I’ve been pretty deep in my Honours for the last year, so been putting most of my energy towards that 🐟 But I’m also trying to keep The Kind Tide moving, and attempting to keep up with the whole “be online, make content, stay consistent” thing that comes with running something small.
I love both of these things so much, but honestly… my brain’s a bit fried 😅 and I’m finding I’m needing more time to recover from like simple tasks, and socialising.
I also put a lot of pressure on myself. I’m older than ya standard student so maybe I feel like I need to do well so I have a better chance job wise, you know? Idk
Anyway… lately I’ve been trying to come back to the little things: getting outside, moving my body, seeing loved ones (shorter catch ups when I’m low energy), and letting myself do something that isn’t productive for once (this one I find difficult).
Also uni counseling is great, and free, and should be normalized 😄 if you’re at uni and struggling - utilize this resource!! Most uni’s should provide this.
A reminder to myself, and maybe anyone else who needs it: you’re allowed to be passionate about what you do and still need a break from it sometimes 😊
