Supported by MIPS, UWA Student Guild and UWA Medical School This WA Medical Students Orchestra was founded in 2012. This orchestra seeks to combine our passion for music with medicine, with weekly rehearsal and concerts to raise money for charities. Our rehearsals are held weekly on Tuesdays at Callaway Auditorium from 7pm, with a final charity concert at the end of the year. We have an amazing repertoire and enthusiastic conductors and would love to see any students with an interest in medicine and music there. If anyone is interested in joining please email us at [email protected] and we'll email you an application form. There are no auditions, everyone is welcome.

Hi everyone, As we come to the end of the year, our 2026 Committee is working on handing over leadership to the incoming 2027 Committee, and positions are now open! Available roles are listed here, and more info, including role descriptions for each, can be found at the sign-up link in bio! If you would like to be more involved in WAMSO or are looking for a leadership opportunity, do sign up! Following the concert, our orchestra members will be holding a bake sale and accepting gold coin donations. Concert proceeds from ticket sales and the bake sale will go towards our partner charities, The Pirate Ship Foundation and Homeless Healthcare WA. Come along to enjoy an evening of music while supporting organisations making a meaningful difference to the health and wellbeing of our community.
