Multiple upcoming activities!
�As we rapidly approach the halfway mark of 2026, 52Bn would like to call for your nominations for our upcoming activities, these include:

- Exercise Green Dragon: 18 July 2026
- 52Bn WTSS Weapons Training: 1 August 2026
- Exercise Superlative Odyssey: 28-30 August 2026

Exercise Green Dragon being held on 18 July 2026, is a single day competition with the Australian Air Force Cadets, and supporting the activity, the Australian Navy Cadets. It’s an awesome opportunity to get involved, and have a great time in and amongst the battalion. It’s a day of competition, teamwork and camaraderie. We are looking to fill 2 teams of 8 cadets, as well as roughly 7 supporting. Spots are limited, get your nomination in ASAP!

WTSS Weapons Training being held on 1 August 2026 is 52Bn’s yearly opportunity to hop on the WTSS, and get your MAC-ARM 1 qualifications done. Of which MAC-ARM 1 being a prerequisite for Tier 3 AFX. Whether you’ve got experience, or not, we’d love to see you come down and give it a shot! Places are limited, with only 120 spots available, 60 of which reserved for our MAC-ARM 1 cadets. Head onto cadet net and get your nomination in quick!

Finally… mark your calendars, save the date, Exercise Superlative Odyssey 2026 taking place on 28-30 August 2026, is 52Bn’s 2nd and biggest field exercise yet. Developing and expanding on the feedback from last years rendition, this years ex will consist of a recruit, intermediate and seniors grouping. Taking place in the Northam training area, it’s one you won’t want to miss. Nominations are now open, get ahead and get your nomination in early!

Congratulations to these 3 Cadets in their Battalion appointments. A special congratulations to CUO Newhill who has been with our Unit throughout his Army Cadet career. A well deserved appointment to Battalion CUO, proving hard work and commitment pays off. The whole unit is proud of how far he’s come and looks forward to seeing him flourish in his new role.

Hello All,

Just a quick one from me as we head into term 1. I’ve called all parents to advise the new details for this year. The major change we have is parade night times.
Parade will be held on Thursdays 1800hrs-2100hrs. Cadets to arrive no earlier than 1745hrs. First night back will be 12FEB26.

Please keep an eye out for an email from myself advising of all the new details.

Apologies for the changes, we are looking forward to another great year with support from staff, parents/guardians and cadets.
