💙 Feel Good Friday – Kobi's Happy Ever After 💙
Stories like Kobi's remind us exactly why we do what we do. 🐾
Back in May, Kobi arrived into HAART foster care straight from the pound. He had been found wandering the streets with no owner to be found. He was underweight, dusty from life on the road, and in need of a second chance.
Just two hours after arriving in foster care, his foster family knew something special had happened. Two weeks later, they told us the words every rescue dreams of hearing:
"We're keeping him." ❤️
Here's what they had to say:
"We were blown away by how sensitive Kobi is. He is so gentle, eager to please his humans and just full of love. He seems so happy to be in a home and shows us affection constantly.
He has the same gorgeous soulful brown eyes that our late Golden Retriever had. We are pinching ourselves that we got this lucky and just find ourselves staring at him and calling other family members over to 'come and see what Kobi's doing!'
Kobi is a perfect mongrel—with suspected breeds of Kelpie, Aussie Shepherd and maybe a touch of velvet hippo. The perfect example of why you should adopt, not shop. No breeder could achieve this perfection if they tried.
It's not any dog that can come into a house with two young boys and three grown cats, happily accept his place at the absolute bottom of the food chain, and be thrilled to be there.
Thank you HAART for finding us our dog. We're sad that our time as foster carers has come to a pause—but our home is finally complete.
If someone from HAART says, 'I've got a dog you should meet,' you should absolutely listen."
Congratulations to Kobi and his wonderful family on finding each other. ❤️ We love a foster fail, especially when it means a dog has found exactly where they were always meant to be.
