On Anzac Day, we pause.

We pause to remember those who served, those who fell, and those who returned forever changed.

We take a moment to be grateful for the life we enjoy because of the sacrifice of others.

In our Book of Remembrance, we honour our Old Aquinians who answered that call and give thanks for their extraordinary duty.

Anzac Day is not only about history; it is about the future. It reminds us that the freedoms we enjoy were hard-won, and that remembrance is a responsibility we all share.

Lest we forget.🌹

We were honoured to welcome Senior Australian of the Year 2025, Br Olly Pickett, as our guest speaker at the 2026 Old Aquinians Senior Old Boys’ Day yesterday.

A retired Catholic school teacher who joined the Christian Brothers in 1960, Br Olly shared the remarkable story behind Wheelchairs for Kids — a Wangara-based organisation powered entirely by volunteers, now more than 300 strong, with an average age of 75.

His insights left a lasting impression, highlighting how Wheelchairs for Kids produces the only wheelchairs in the world designed to meet World Health Organisation guidelines — all-terrain, durable, and able to grow with the child. With close to 68,000 wheelchairs built and distributed globally, their impact is truly life-changing.

Like Father, Like Son 🏆

We recently witnessed a special full-circle moment for the Aquinas community as the 1st XIII 2026 squad claimed the Challenge Cup.

Rowing Captain Will Fievez led his crew to victory, celebrating alongside his father, Jonathan (Class of 1995), who also lifted the Cup in Aquinas’ 1994 triumph.

It’s moments like these that capture why the Aquinas story is so powerful—shared pride, lasting connections, and a legacy that lives on through each generation. Connecting past and present, we honour a tradition that continues to inspire generations to come. ❤️🖤
