Who is a guilty parent of rushing through the "to-do" list because it is faster and cleaner? Even though knowing that doing so we are missing a vital window to build our children's character? πŸ«£πŸ™„πŸ™‹πŸ½
"Can I Help You?" they tend to ask us in their early years. What tends to be your immediate and usual response?
By accepting their offer to help out and letting them take the lead with some chores (cutting the veggies, setting/cleaning up the dining table, watering the garden, sorting tools, etc) we are moving our kids from "being served" to "being confident and capable", we are helping them to become a contributor rather than just an observer. Our positive response fosters a deep sense of belonging as they realise the family is a team and they are a vital member of it. The more we welcome and encourage those "Can I Help You's" the more we ensure they won't be overwhelmed when they eventually head out on their own.
If you are a dad with these kind of questions, and you are looking for a community, join a bunch of other curious dads this Friday 6th March from 6:45pm. It is our third Dads Gathering of this year and we are waiting for you. Reach out.

Raise your hand βœ‹ if you’ve fully mastered the art of PATIENCE πŸ˜„
What happens when you have to waitβ€”at traffic lights 🚦, in line for coffee, or for something to load?
How do you practise patience in a world of two-day shipping πŸ›¬, fast food 🍟, and instant info πŸ“²?
And how do those strategies translate to your childβ€”waiting for dinner, a snack, a turn at the playground πŸ›, or your full attention ⚠️?
We all know the meltdowns that come with learning to WAIT.

So, how do we model patience, create chances to practise it, and make waiting more bearable for kids?
These are the kind of questions we reflect upon at our monthly Dads Gatherings. If you are a dad looking for connection with other dads, join us at our next one this Friday 6th of February, from 6:45pm-9:30pm. This time in Willagee. We are waiting for youπŸ˜ƒπŸ€—

We have been pretty dormant here as our big family embarked on a big adventure to another continent to reconnect with the other side of our tribe!!! And our hearts are full of joy!!!
πŸ˜ƒπŸ’₯πŸ’šπŸ’―

We hope you all have had a great time celebrating the end of the year festivitiesπŸ₯³πŸ’₯ and that 2026 is finding you and your loved ones with good health. πŸ’šπŸ˜€

Celebration at our little bridge-building project is a way-of-being for us, as we reflect on the different wholesome events we organised last year so dads can come together and share what is important to them in their journey with fatherhood. Great news is, we will keep them happening this year. πŸ₯³πŸ’šπŸ’ͺπŸ½πŸ‘ŠπŸ½

Talking about tribes, if you feel like you need a new one or maybe just to extend your existing one, reach out and we might just be what you are looking for. You will be very welcome. πŸ˜ƒπŸ€—

Sunshine β˜€οΈ, laughter, 🀣and tiny feet πŸ‘£ splashing through cool spraysβ€”there’s something magical about watching our kids run through sprinklers. It’s more than play; it’s a moment that reminds us how pure joy can be. Their squeals, their fearless dashes, the way water sparkles around themβ€”it all fills us with a warm, quiet satisfaction.
These are the memories that anchor us, the ones we’ll replay long after towels are hung and puddles dry. So let them run, let them soak, let them be wildly, wonderfully free. And take a second to soak it in tooβ€”because these are the good days.😊πŸ₯³

Our monthly Dads gathering is this Friday 5th December. This will be the last for 2025!
Are you craving for some true meaningful connection with other dads?? Well, we are waiting for you!! πŸ’₯πŸ’ͺπŸ½πŸŒ„
Reach out to find out more info.

Our next one will be in 2026, January the 9th

We have two children (5 and 3 y/o). A few days ago we moved the couch to see what was underneath. Some giggles were inevitable with this move. It seemed the couch was sheltering a number of random objects that might have been working on a total take-over of our home. When they were found, they all showed absolute innocence though. 😁🀫

In this phase of life with young children, we've chosen to embrace the inevitable messiness of our home. It's easy to feel overwhelmed by the constant cleaning and tidying, a seemingly endless cycle. My wife and me tend to remind ourselves that this period is fleeting. We'll one day miss the chaos and cherish the memories of our beautifully messy home filled with our precious, messy little ones. We recognize how quickly they're growing, a bittersweet reality. Of course, we maintain reasonable standards, cleaning when feasible and instilling similar habits in our children. However, we prioritize creating a fun, often messy, environment over maintaining a perpetually pristine home.

To all parents navigating similar circumstances, you're doing wonderfully. Your messy house is a testament to that. We're all in this together.

We invited a bunch of dads to bring their pre-kinder kid on an overnight camp together at Peace Be Still, Chittering WA. The intention was to create a space where both dad-and-kid can spend some well deserved one-on-one with each other (and give mum a mini-break? πŸ₯Ή), while also witnessing other dads and kids going through the same thing, and dads supporting each other in a natural environment.
The kids helped their dads to set up their tent, they played together, they got dirty and apparently spoke about this experience with their dad and others for a few days after the event. There was food that went around, camaraderie, conversations and laughter around the fire at night.
We believe it is this kind of small things, brief yet meaningful experiences that can help us reset a little bit from our full lives without distractions of tech devices and creating long lasting bond with our little ones.
Thanks to all the dads who were part of this camp-out experience. We did this TOGETHER.

A couple of feedback summarize the overall feeling of the camp-out.

"I was motivated to share time with my boy and sleep under the stars, whilst demonstrating healthy relationship with other men and children just enjoying and exploring a little nature. We live in busy times and having time place and food prepared made it easier for me to just show up, for my boy, myself and fathers alike"

"Thank you all for coming along and helping to create this wonderful memory. [My daughter] and I had a great time getting to know you and spending some quality time together πŸ‘πŸ’ͺ"

"Top job for organising this and a genuine pleasure to hang out with you all in such a lovely place, we did good. My son and I had a great time and hope to cross paths again. Cheers"

Thanks so much to our host Wendy at Peace Be Still for allowing us use the space for this kind of adventures. We love all the animals, the trees, the labyrinth and the stillness present in this place. We fully recommend it if you are feeling like a little break in nature on your own, with your partner and child/ren or good friends. πŸ˜€πŸ˜ŽπŸ₯³πŸ’ͺπŸ‘πŸ“πŸ¦ƒπŸͺΏπŸŒ³πŸŒ³πŸ”₯✨

Lets create more adventures like this, together.
DADS CAN BE AMAZING!!! And we are lucky to witness some amazing dads. Reach out if you are looking for connection.

Keep an eye on this space.
