Mount Hawthorn Playgroup Mount Hawthorn Playgroup (MHPG) is a friendly place for families with children to meet up and play We have 3 sessions that run per day Monday to Friday.

Come take a look we are situated overlooking the fantastic Braithwaite Park in Mount Hawthorn. Join an existing group, or create your own and join as a New Mother's Group. Mon: 9am-11am, 12pm-2pm, 3pm-5pm
Tues: 9am-11am, 12pm-2pm, 3pm-5pm
Wed: 9am-11am, 12pm-2pm, 3pm-5pm
Thurs:

9am-11am, 12pm-2pm, 3pm-5pm
Fri: 9am-11am, 12pm-2pm, 3pm-5pm

MHPG has a fully functional gated kitchen including coffee machine, tea making facilities, food prep area, microwave and fridge. We have a huge range of indoor and outdoor toys including a fully stocked craft room, dress ups, play kitchen, push along toys, train table, bikes, sandpit, swings, slide, play equipment and an inside and outside cubby. MHPG is suitable all year round with large indoor and outdoor areas. Playgroup is suited for 0 - 5 year olds and we have a large number of highchairs, bouncers, soft play mats and toys suited to all age groups. Mount Hawthorn Playgroup, in collaboration with Yokine Playgroup and Highgate Playgroup, will be hosting a private Peter Combe concert exclusively for our playgroup families!

This is a rare chance to enjoy one of Australia’s most loved children’s performers in an accessible, baby and toddler-friendly setting - and best of all, free for Mount Hawthorn Playgroup members who have renewed for 2026!

Event details

Date: Thursday 19 February

Time: Doors open at 9.30am for a 10.00am show
(Show runtime is approximately 45-50 minutes)

Location: Mount Hawthorn Main Hall (upstairs from Mount Hawthorn Playgroup)

Cost: Free for Mount Hawthorn Playgroup 2026 members
(Please book a ticket for each child and adult attending)

It’s almost that wonderful time of year again - and we’d love for you to join us for our Mount Hawthorn Playgroup Christmas Party!

🎄 Date: Sunday 14 December
🕒 Time: 3:00 – 5:00pm
📍 Location: Braithwaite Park, Mount Hawthorn (next to playgroup)
💫 Cost: Free for Playgroup members and their immediate families

We’ll have Santa, soft play, balloon making, live music, gingerbread decorating, sensory play and so much more!
Small snacks will be provided, but please feel free to bring a picnic.
