We knew Slim was a gorgeous boy but until he got into a home we couldn't be sure of a few things with coming straight from kennels.
Well we need not have worried, he's settling in so beautifully 💖 even got his human Dad giving up his spot on the couch already🤭

UPDATE ON SLIM.

The beautiful Slim has started his next chapter today and is in his very own home as foster to adopt 💖 and boy he has hit the jackpot with this lovely family 🙏
We wish Slim and his new family all the very best and can't wait to hear how he's settling in 😍

Meet Slim💙
22 months old and waiting for someone to be his Next Chapter.

Some dogs leave paw prints on your heart the moment you meet them... and Slim is definitely one of those dogs.

Yesterday, Nat and I picked this incredibly handsome young boy up from the kennels, who is recovering from a hock injury, for a few hours and watching him experience even the simplest things outside kennel life was something really special.

Our first step was introducing him to Golden Retriever Po, and within minutes they were happily walking together like old friends. 💕

Slim travelled beautifully in the car. He was a little unsure about jumping in at first, but after just a couple of attempts he was already gaining confidence. It was wonderful to see him learning so quickly.

From there we headed to the markets, and Slim was nothing short of amazing. He walked beautifully on a loose lead, calmly passed dogs of all sizes (even the tiny fluffy ones), took the busy crowds and traffic in his stride, and happily accepted cuddles and pats from the people he met along the way.

But the moment that stole our hearts wasn't how well behaved he was—it was seeing his happiness begin to shine through.

Watching him break into a playful little trot, doing joyful bounces with the biggest smile on his face, was a beautiful reminder that beneath every kennel dog is a soul just waiting for the chance to be loved in their forever home.

Slim is affectionate, gentle, fun and full of potential. We only spent a few hours with him, yet it was impossible not to imagine how much he'll blossom once he has a family of his own and a comfy couch to call home.

Because he's still a young, playful boy, Slim would be best suited to a home with older or dog-savvy children. He'll also need a cat-free home, as he hasn't been tested with cats.

Right now, Slim urgently needs someone to say "Come home."

Whether you can offer him a foster home or make him part of your family forever, you'll be giving him something every greyhound deserves—a chance to leave kennel life behind and discover what a loving home, comfort and belonging truly feel like.

At just 22 months old, Slim is still very much a youngster. He's full of enthusiasm, loves life, and can be a little full-on at first while he figures out what's expected of him. Give him a consistent routine, some guidance, and a chance to decompress, and you'll see him settle into the wonderful companion he's destined to be.

Slim has plenty of energy and would love an active home that can keep both his legs and his brain busy. Once he's had his adventures for the day, he's looking forward to learning that the couch is actually the best invention ever.
