Lloyd and Joanne, a wonderful couple from Leeming, paid a special visit to Canberra before travelling to Sydney. I was delighted that my constituents travelled all the way from WA to see me.

Did you know that Lloyd participated in a Hairathon for charity? He spent 24 hours cutting hair to raise money for the Keune Foundation. It was his unique way of giving back to the community and coincided with his 60th birthday. I am truly inspired by their dedication and generosity. The Hairathon Project Organising Committee had the "closing" meeting for the final tally, to wrap up the project and close the GoFundMe account. In total we raised AUD48,103 from the event. Lloyd & Joanne will personally round up the figure to AUD50,000 and pass the funds to Keune Foundation that supports Australian families with children facing life threatening illnesses. Taking this opportunity to thank all our friends, sponsors, well-wishers, celebrity guests, the media, coordinators, volunteers and every single person who have contributed to the success of Hairathon Perth 2023. Thank you so much! 🙏
P/s As usual we have as much a feast as a wrap up meeting. 😋
