The Rossmoyne Primary School community is shocked by this mornings incident involving our beloved traffic warden Colin.

Cannington Police are seeking public assistance as they investigate an assault that occurred in Rossmoyne on Tuesday, 19 May 2026.

About 8.55am, an 87-year-old man was working as a traffic warden on Third Avenue when he was pushed by an unknown male, causing him to fall to the ground.

The unknown male then stole the victim’s hat and whistle before fleeing the area in a vehicle, described as a black Toyota Prado.

Members of the public rendered assistance to the victim, who later drove himself to a nearby address. Police attended the residence promptly and arranged medical assistance for the victim through St. John WA. He was conveyed to hospital for medical assessment.

The unknown male is described as being aged between 17 and 19 years, approximately 183cm tall, with a dark complexion, a black mullet hairstyle, and was wearing earrings.
