Vision:
To work on the Jain Philosophy of the Ahinsa (Non-Violence or Live and Let live), and to teach, promote and propagate love, harmony, and peaceful living among the wider community. Purpose:
The purposes of the association are outlined below which are consistent with the Digamber sect of Jainism:
1. To promote the principle of
• AHINSA (non-violence) – Doctrine of not harming any living bein
g in physical, mental, and emotional forms.
• ANEKANTVAD (many-sidedness) – Doctrine of equality, tolerance and respect to all diverse views and ideologies through the philosophical elucidation of the truth or reality.
• KSHAMA (forgiveness) – Doctrine to let go of resentment and thoughts of revenge resulting in healthier relationship, social harmony, improved mental peace and self-esteem.
• APARIGRAHA (non-possession) – Doctrine of non–greediness and sharing.
2. To promote the culture of 'Live and Let Live' encompassing not only human beings, but all living beings including the vibrant elements of nature and preventing and relieving sufferings of Animals.
3. To promote understanding and amity between diverse communities, faiths, and traditions of the world irrespective of colour, caste, creed through the practice of non-violence, tolerance, compassion and peaceful co-existence.
4. To promote and organize health, public welfare, cultural awareness and educational programs for the wellbeing of the Community.
5. To develop an educational institution, library, museum, and place of worship & meditation to promote above-mentioned values.
6. To publish and distribute instructional & educational literature relevant to the promotion of non-violence, tolerance, welfare, health, equality and environmental protection among the wider Australian Community.
7. To develop a charitable institution to serve and support the disadvantaged and needy members of the wider Australian Community.
8. To promote, facilitate, plan, organise, assist, and coordinate the following on a global level
• the participation of Jains and likeminded people in classes, conferences, events, seminars, conventions, and exhibitions
• the arrangement of tours to centres related to Jain philosophies
• the celebration of auspicious Jain events and festivals
• the conduct of academic, cultural, and intellectual exchanges and educational programs related to Jainism
• exchange of scholars and cultural leaders to enhance moral and ethical values
• To organise cultural and educational events/programs to spread the message of Non-violence and Vegetarianism among the wider community of Western Australia
• To organise events to promote multiculturalism among the wider community of Western Australia
