The 2025 Midweek Series wrapped up in style at the stunning The Western Australian Golf Club marking the fourth and final round of what’s been another cracking year of midweek golf.

This year’s format featured 4 rounds of Stableford, with each player’s best 3 rounds counting towards the overall standings — rewarding consistency, composure, and a touch of midweek magic.

🏆 Series Champion

Jamie O’Donnell came from nowhere to take the 2025 Midweek Series crown! Flying under the radar with only two scores logged heading into the final round, Jamie delivered when it mattered most — with rounds of 42, 32, and 38 points to win the series by a single point. A brilliant effort and a well-deserved victory!

🏆 IPGS Open – Sunday 10th August at Gosnells Golf Club

Sunday’s IPGS Open was more than just another comp, it carried a very special meaning.

The Rían O’Donnell Trophy is named in honour of little Rian 🌟 the much-loved son of our friends Jamie & Ciara ❤️. While Rian’s time here was heartbreakingly short his memory will always shine bright for those who love him.

A huge thank you to Kingdom Quantity Surveyors owned by our very own Jamie for sponsoring the event 🙏. Your support means the world and thank you for letting us honour Rian in this way.

⛳️ IPGS MASTERS – Meadow Springs Golf & Country Club
Sunday, 27th July

The forecast was 💩 but thankfully the weather gods were on our side and kept the worst of it away. Conditions were solid, the course was in great nick, and the stage was set for another cracking Masters showdown.

The scoring didn’t disappoint. Mark King was the man of the moment, storming to victory and slipping on the coveted Green Jacket as this year’s Masters Champion. Cool head, steady game – top effort from Kingy.

Gary Flanagan wasn’t far behind, finishing runner-up with another consistent display, while Bumpz rounded out the podium in 3rd.

Other top finishers included:

⛳️ The pin-seekers were out in force with the NTP winners as follows:

Another brilliant day out with the Irish Perth Golf Society as we teed off at The Vines Resort on July 22nd. With reasonable weather, solid golf, and the usual dose of craic, the day delivered on all fronts, especially for those who ended up doing a shoey!

🇮🇪 IPGS vs PGN 🇦🇺
Sunday, April 6th – Sea View Golf Club

The Irish Perth Golf Society faced off against long-time rivals the Perth Golf Network in the 8th edition of their fiercely competitive series at the stunning Sea View Golf Club. With the overall series delicately poised at 4–3 in PGN’s favour, there was plenty on the line going into Sunday’s match.

From the first tee to the final putt, the IPGS boys came out firing and delivered a superb team performance to claim a 10–6 victory on the day, bringing the series level at 4–4. The win was celebrated in true Irish style, lifting the trophy high and proudly waving the tricolour — a fitting reward for a strong all-round effort.

A massive congratulations to the entire IPGS team, with special mention to Captain Rowan McCarthy for leading from the front. Attached is the full lineup of our winning team.

While the win was sweet, we also want to extend our commiserations to PGN, who played their hearts out and showed great sportsmanship throughout. As always, the match was played in brilliant spirit, with plenty of laughs, banter, and a shared love for the game of golf.

Thanks to everyone who made the day possible — players, organisers and Sea View Golf Club for hosting us. We look forward to the next chapter in this epic rivalry. Onwards to Round 9 — and up the IPGS!

Meadow Springs - 23rd March

An excellent day was had at Meadow Springs with impressive scores achieved by our members.
