The City of Penrith RSL sub-Branch hosted one of the greatest Dining In Nights, ever, last night and almost 100 Members, Veterans, family & friends attended to recognise and celebrate the “service and sacrifices of Veteran Families.

Mr Doug Baird OAM presented, shared a very personal experience with our guests regarding his son Corporal Cameron Baird VC MG -RIP.

We were very lucky to have the RSL NSW President, Mr Vince Williams CSC and Mrs Julia Williams join us, and we all joined in singing Happy Birthday to Wilma Taylor, the illustrious leader of our Auxiliary (and she just loves the attention).

It was a fantastic night with plenty of good charm, smiles and friendship filled with many of our Auxiliary Members.

Thanks to all of our Volunteers that made this possible, and thanks to all who attended and who are part of our sub-Branch family.

Everyone is welcome and encouraged to share stories and photos of their adventures, social activities or events, because sharing is caring.

It doesn’t have to be strictly Auxiliary business, but should be with positive vibes, be inclusive, supportive, non political, non advertising, not abusive, sexist, racist or divisive. Keep it clean and friendly and everything will work out fine.

Don’t be afraid of making a mistake or posting the wrong thing, the Page Administrators are empowered to and will correct any errors and they will be happy to assist if ever needed.

As long as posts meet the same community standards that we uphold in the sub-Branch, everything will be fine.

This page can become a great Community Communication tool if everyone gets involved and it can help to get to know each other a bit better.

The next City of Penrith RSL sub-Branch Auxiliary meeting is Monday 17 August. We meet on the 3rd Monday of each month, from 10am for 10.30.
We meet at the RSL Club, Tindale Street Penrith.

We are a group of friendly ladies who enjoy fundraising for our Veterans & their families.
