CWA Pascoe Vale Branch

Last week delegates and members from Pascoe Vale attended the CWA 2026 State Conference. Each branch was asked to contribute grocery items to support the Community Pantry run by Helping Hands Mission Op Shops.

The Community Pantry received nearly $12,000 worth of groceries to boost their supplies. They currently service 150 families a day.

So if you bought something from our recent bake stall this is an example of where your money goes.

This month our members donated groceries from their own pockets to our local charity Nourishing Neighbours which provide crisis emergency food aid and is 100% volunteer run.

A big box full of drawstring bags made by our volunteer Jenny. They are being donated to Big Group Hug . They will be used to bag toiletries, books, toys and clothing to support vulnerable children and their families.

Our guest speaker this month was Ray from Orange Sky. Last year CWA Pascoe Vale made a donation from our community fund-raising to this organisation. Orangesky.org.au
They provide access to free laundry, warm showers and conversation to people experiencing homelessness and hardship.
This week volunteers have provided 2008 loads of washing, 101 showers and 1,923 hours of conversation

Thank you to all our friends and supporters who attended our cake stall. All monies raised go to support vulnerable women and children in our community.
