Leave 9am at Eastwood Library opposite railway station. The library was founded in June 1959 at Rowe Street. Moved to current site on 23rd February 1991. For people who want to wait at Albert Rd, Strathfield Station, please inform during booking.
At approximately 11:30 we will have an upscale club buffet lunch.
You can have Chinese, Japanese or western dish/desert.
You can now relax and enjoy chatting among new friends for 2 hours.
We will arrive at Australia’s largest Dam- Warragamba Dam. This reservoir dam forms Lake Burragorang in 1960.
The dam was proposed in 1867 but building be gan in 1948. The dam is 142m high by 351m long has 2065 GL water.The dam was built with 3m tonnes of concrete in calm area. So it is nicknamed as the “quiet beast”.
We will explore it in the ‘Water for Life’ exhibition and see ‘drops of wisdom’ interactive table & ask questions. We will return to Eastwood library by approximately 5pm.
