A very insightful weekend of teachings with Patrick Kearney. We started on Friday night with an introduction to Serenity and Insight practices, which laid the ground work for the weekend, but also gave an overview for those who were only attending the talk.

The weekend was a wonderful balance of practice and instructions and Patrick brought a lightness and humour to what can often be a challenging experience.

The weekend completed with Patrick giving a Dharma talk for Vesak, celebrating the legacy of the Buddha whose teachings are still flourishing today.

A community meditation will be held at the beautiful Raintree in Freswater at 5.30pm today Thursday 28 May. Father Neil and Venerable Rinchen will lead a meditation is to bring healing, peace and to send energy to the tree and its inhabitants and the community in the surrounding areas. It will be a guided loving kindness meditation, please join us this afternoon. (Old Smithfield road opp school). 🙏

Special Announcement:
Patrick Kearney will give a Dharma Talk and lead a Meditation for Vesak/Saga Dawa Day this Sunday 31st May from 6pm to 7pm.

This is an opportunity for us to come together as a sangha to recollect the precious teachings of the Buddha, cultivating collectively the aspiration for world peace. Our world is in turmoil at the moment so during this time we can take the opportunity to sit together to listen to the Dharma and to create the conditions for the inner transformation of peace. Peace starts with with us, by cultivating peaceful hearts and minds. When the mind is peaceful our actions of body and speech will be peaceful.
Light refreshment will be provided, all welcome to attend.
