Although educators are required to include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Knowledges and perspectives in their teaching through the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers 1.4 and 2.4, many feel worried about making a mistake, being insensitive or perpetuating tokenism.

One final week to apply for the 2026 Strategic Partnerships Program - School Trial. We are happy to work with schools around timing across Terms 3 and 4.

Ngarrngga is seeking Victorian Government primary schools in regional, rural and outer-metro areas to participate in a 2026 program combining professional development and curriculum resource trials.

The program, a partnership with the Department of Education, runs across Terms 2–4, 2026 and is designed to support teachers to confidently and respectfully showcase Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge systems, histories and cultures across the curriculum.
