Have you heard that Weddin Landcare turns 30 this year?

We think it is an amazing achievement for a not-for-profit, community driven organisation that is run by volunteers so we're having a party to celebrate!

Date: Friday 3 July 2026
Time: 5:30pm
Location: Grenfell Country Club, Gooloogong Rd, Grenfell.

Past and current members as well as anyone we have partnered with over the years for projects are invited to attend - we don't mind if you've been with us for 30 minutes or 30 years!

has developed a delicious 3-course menu for us and we're working hard to secure a guest speaker for the night - stay tuned! There'll be plenty of opportunity to catch up with old Landcare mates, reminisce about past fun we've had and hear about what we're up to these days. Some very special members will also be awarded Life Memberships 😉.

We'll be running Womens Firearm Safety Training in 4 locations over the next few months in response to the changes in gun laws and in alignment with the rollout of our CAT control project across the region. A call for Gerald Carnie Memorial Award nominations 🌱

The Gerald Carnie Memorial Award for Keeping the Landcare Flame Alive was established by Landcare NSW to recognise this very special individuals’ contributions to the Landcare movement.

The Award stands as a testament to those who ignite passion and action in others, serving as a beacon of inspiration for greater involvement in Landcare initiatives.

It is awarded to an individual in recognition of their contribution to the development of “the philosophy of Landcare”.

The recipient champions the development of Landcare as a means to support and engender change in attitudes, which translates to a more cohesive and resilient community that acts to achieve a healthier environment and/or more productive and sustainable farms.

Applicants are judged on the impact they have had at the local and regional or state scale to ensure that Landcare can prosper.

Nominations close at 11.59pm AEST on Friday 31 July, 2026.
