Spring has sprung since our last post. Please reach out if you’d like to know more about Ripples, and who we’re supporting at the moment.

In the meantime, here’s a cheerful spring scene from my porch.

Love how Ripples founder Nati is rocking a crocheted bikini in this pic. Making me laugh, as always! 😂

Since then, our sisterhood has expanded to include many… speaking of which, have you seen our recent post about the two ladies we’re supporting? Please let us know if you’d like to know more.

Have a beautiful end of the week. 💕

Can you help?

Hello friends, hope you're all having a happy start to the week. We've received a call to support two First Nations mothers, survivors of domestic violence who are courageously forging a new life for themselves and their children.

Abi'* has two young-adult children, one of whom lives with a serious disability. Abi's ex-partner took most things out of the house when he left, yet she is determined to rebuild her family's home and life.

Kayla* and her toddler are on the move again, since her ex-partner has discovered her whereabouts. She is being supported to find a new safe and secure home.

Both these ladies are in need of the following:

Bed linen
Pots and pans/kitchen utensils/plates
Pantry items
Basic items for a new home

If you would like to join us in supporting these mums to set up safe new homes for themselves and their children, please message our page.

Thank you so much, as always. 💕

In Australia, there are at least 116,000 people experiencing homelessness on any given night night - 19,000 of them are children. These are startling figures; and while we're sharing them this , it's vital for us all to do what we can to ensure this stays top of mind outside of awareness days, as important as they are.

Thanks to your generosity, we've been supporting a local shelter that welcomes men experiencing homelessness. As the support worker explained, while they are delighted to be inundated with emergency packs for the women's shelter, supplies for the men's shelter are harder to come by.

Melinda and Michele contributed to these emergency packs which went out last week - thank you, ladies! These humble packs mean more than you know.

"The guys are just amazed to receive them," explained the support worker. "Is all this really for me?" they ask, looking shocked. They have to be reassured time and again that yes, the backpack and its contents (including toiletries and other essentials) is indeed all for them and that they can take it with them when they leave.

So thank you, thank you, thank you. Together we'll keep doing what we can to alleviate the suffering of our fellow community members. 💕

Huge thank you to Melinda, who gathered body washes, toothpaste, hand sanitiser and other essentials for the men’s emergency packs we’re putting together for a local shelter. Thanks also to Melinda’s friends who contributed. 🙏🏻
We still need a few things to complete the packs, including backpacks, deodorant, tissues, socks etc. Please message our page if you’d like to donate and help support homeless males as young as 18.
Have a great week! 💕

We're approaching the end of NAIDOC Week, when we focus on recognising the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.

is an opportunity for us all to learn about First Nations cultures and history, and to participate in celebrations of the oldest continuous living cultures on earth.

At Ripples of Love, based in Dharawal Country, we're honoured to support First Nations women through our partnerships with brilliant organisations such as Wirringa Baiya Aboriginal Women's Legal Centre. At our last drop-off of donations there, on the traditional lands of the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation, we were delighted to be gifted this beautiful scarf.

Grateful in so many ways. Have a beautiful weekend, friends. 💕

If you have a few minutes over a cup of tea today, take some time to read this moving and powerful piece by the parents of Hannah Clarke. In February 2020 Hannah and her children were murdered in a crime that appalled the nation. It's hard to imagine what her parents endured.

Here is their beautiful remembrance of her. 💕

Most Queenslanders remember Hannah Clarke as the one whose death shocked the nation but our daughter was so much more than a victim, write Sue and Lloyd Clarke.

Happy Monday. 💕
