Danish farmer Søren Poulsen dedicated 25 years to creating one of the world's most unusual landmarks—a giant walkable map of the world beside Lake Klejtrup in Denmark. 🗺️🇩🇰 Between 1944 and 1969, he carefully shaped miniature continents using stones, soil, and grass, transforming an ordinary lakeside into an extraordinary attraction. The finished map stretches approximately 45 by 90 meters, allowing visitors to stroll between continents in just a few steps. 🌍✨

The remarkable project began with a simple discovery. Poulsen found a large stone that reminded him of Denmark's Jutland Peninsula. Inspired by its shape, he imagined recreating the entire world on his land. What started as a single stone soon became a decades-long labor of love, requiring incredible patience, precision, and dedication. 🪨❤️

Over the years, he carefully placed rocks, sculpted landscapes, and added lakes and waterways to make the continents as realistic as possible. Today, the World Map at Lake Klejtrup remains one of Denmark's most unique family attractions, welcoming visitors from around the globe. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🌎
