A little while ago I shared a "Coming Soon" post for this section.

Today I begin sharing Section 7 of the Mental Health Toolkit.

Understanding the Disconnect: People and Mental Health Services.

This is my experience, what I learned along the way, and why I believe understanding the person can be just as important as understanding the condition.

🌟 Milestone Reached 🌟

Today both of my pages reached 100 posts.

What started as sharing my own lived experience has grown into a collection of information, stories, flyers, and resources designed to increase understanding, encourage conversation, and reduce stigma around mental health.

My hope has always been simple: if something I share helps even one person understand themselves a little better, feel less alone, or find hope, then it has been worthwhile.

Thank you to everyone who has viewed, followed, liked, shared, or supported the journey so far.

The journey continues. 💙

As I looked through the flyers I've created, I realised something.

Every flyer represents a lived experience that I have faced and survived.

Depression.
Self-talk.
Addiction.
Su***de.
Sexual abuse.
Homelessness.
Mental health challenges.

For a long time, I saw these experiences as obstacles.

Today, I see them as proof that recovery is possible.

There were times when hope was all I had. Sometimes hope is the one thing that keeps us moving forward when everything else feels lost.

My hope is that by sharing these experiences, others may see that no matter how difficult the journey feels, recovery and survival are possible.

Never underestimate the power of hope.
