These words from Dalal Smiley at Wellsprings for Women Inc. are an incredible reflection on the importance of social connection, and the infrastructure (like Neighbourhood Houses) that facilitates it.

Would you be interested in volunteering at the Omeo Community Hub for 3 hours per week, per fortnight or per month. It's warm, cosy, hot drinks available, computer access, comfy recliners, jigsaws, read a book? Lots of opportunity to do your own thing after opening the doors. All you need to do is chat to anyone who comes into the foyer or the Hub & help them with their questions. It's a great place to meet people - locals & visitors.

Thanks to those who came along tonight for the Warren Miller film in the Omeo Soldiers Memorial Hall. Thanks to Ben for the organising the event, Omeo Region Business and Tourism Association who sponsorship & Omeo Community Hub for pulling it all together.
Special thanks to everyone who assisted in packing up the Hall. As someone on the night said - " Many hands make light work".
