We're taking over International Day For Rural Women this year on October 15th as it has been declared the Year of the woman farmer and we are going to release a book with stories that speak by you 100 of you

In recognition of the United Nations International Year of the Woman Farmer, I’m creating a very special book through Stories That Speak .

It will be called: She Farms

100 Rural Women – Voices from the Land

This book will bring together the stories of 100 women living and working in rural and regional Australia.

Women who farm.
Women who run businesses.
Women who keep communities going.
Women who show up when times are tough.

Each woman will share a short story about life on the land, lessons, challenges, resilience and wisdom that comes from rural life.

You do not need to be a writer.
You just need a story.

Every contributor will have a two-page feature in the book, becoming part of The Founding 100 Rural Women whose voices will be recorded as part of this national project.

The book will be released to mark the UN Year of the Woman Farmer, celebrating the women who help shape rural Australia.

To help cover editing, design and printing, a small contributor participation fee will apply, with full details provided after expressions of interest.

I’m honoured to be speaking at the Showcase SA International Women’s Day Luncheon this week. The event is sold out (which says everything about the power of women gathering with purpose), but I’ll be using this moment to officially launch something very close to my heart.
The Urszula King Scholarship an initiative of Harvesting Potential Ltd.
This scholarship has been created to offer a genuine hand up for young women who need opportunity, not sympathy. It will support education, entrepreneurship, mentorship, food security and the practical supports that help a young woman move from survival to independence.
For those who did not know Urszula King — she was an Adelaide woman born in Poland whose life was shaped by unimaginable hardship. A survivor of a concentration camp, she arrived in Australia as a displaced person and built a life of purpose.
She became a nurse, a business owner, a mentor and a quiet force behind many who were doing it tough. Urszula believed deeply in strength, independence and creating pathways for others to succeed.
This scholarship is her legacy in action.
If you would like to contribute, all donations over $2 are tax deductible and go directly toward supporting a young woman pursuing education and opportunity.
