The Israelites were asking questions about what religious rites and how many sacrifices they should make. Micah told them, bluntly! God doesn't want more sacrifices. He just wants you to be just, to be fair, to be caring... AND, to live your life humbly with God!
Your relationship with God is the key.

Its a little scary being in deep water and you cannot touch the bottom. As a child, I panicked while learning to swim in a deep swimming pool. I recall my father reaching out a helping hand to steady and support. I grabbed his hand and heard the words of assurance, "you are OK"!

What do we Hope for? David the psalmist had a sad heart and was discouraged. Emotions we all have experienced. David had the answer... "I will put my hope in God". He continues... "I will praise him again". Praise and hope were Davids answer, its worth a try!

Wow, a new heart and a new Spirit! God's promise to the prophet Ezekiel. What a transformation! God tells Ezekiel he will remove his heart of stone and replace it with a new one! Something we all need?

The disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to pray.... Jesus gave them a prayer focusing on honoring Gods name, his kingdom, daily provision, forgiveness and protection. Prayer, talking with God, was central to Jesus life, it should be a daily habit.

Sometimes we dont see our special friends for months even years, there is a lot of catching up happens. How much better when our special friend is close by. The communication is consistent, there is sharing, often with deep emotion. When close we can provide and receive support and share experiences. The Lord is willing to be that friend, close and available, always.

Ever felt unable to help someone? To offer a word of support or provide practical help? This wonderful verse from John 7 says if we believe... "Rivers of Living Water will flow from within them." God can do wonderful things, through his believers!
