Barossa German Language Association

Barossa German Language Association The documentation, maintenance and revival of German language use in South Australia's Barossa Valley and beyond.

The Barossa German Language Association (BGLA) aims to revive or renew German as a community language. It supports documentation or recording of German speakers' life experiences, and at social events offers informal conversation for speakers to maintain German. It holds cultural events to promote German language use in the region, including regular Kaffee und Kuchen gatherings for seniors. The BGLA encourages the learning and revival of German for both young and old.

Dankeschön! 🇩🇪🎶

The Barossa German Language Association would like to sincerely thank The Barossa Council for supporting the 2026 Barossa Konzert through its Events Sponsorship Program with a generous contribution of $1,000.

Community support like this helps us bring people together to celebrate music, culture, language and the rich German heritage of the Barossa.
As this event is part of the Adelaide German Week it also has reach to a wider community beyond the local area and we're grateful for everyone involved making the 2026 Barossa Konzert possible.

We would also like to acknowledge and thank Langmeil Winery , Gully Gardens Barossa and The Barossa Cheese Company for their valued sponsorship and preferential pricing for this event, helping us keep this community concert accessible and affordable.

We look forward to welcoming our community to an afternoon of music and celebration.
