A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make the 2026 Barossa Konzert such a wonderful success as part of Adelaide German Week.

To our talented musicians, generous sponsors, dedicated volunteers, and everyone who joined us on Sunday afternoon – thank you for your support and enthusiasm. Your contribution helped create a memorable celebration of music, culture and community.

The concert featured performances by the Barossa Trio and KaDenCe Choir and was one of Adelaide German Week's featured events in the Barossa.

2026 Barossa German Language Association Annual General Meeting (AGM) 26th October

You are invited to the 2026 Barossa German Language Association Annual General Meeting on Monday 26th October 2026 at 1pm at Langmeil Centre, Maria St Tanunda, with updates from the committee and an outlook for the year ahead. It is also an opportunity for members to ask questions about our community organisation.

Following the AGM, the speakers will be two exchange students at Nuriootpa High School.
As usual we’ll finish with coffee and cake and the chance to chat in German.

At our latest Kaffee und Kuchen, we welcomed Professor Christine Feinle-Bisset as our guest speaker, showing how running a baking school Adelaide Hills Baking Classes and an academic career can go side by side.

As part of Adelaide German Week, The Barossa German Language Assoc. is delighted to present the 2026 Barossa Konzert, a light-hearted musical concert featuring The Barossa Trio and KaDenCe Choir.

Enjoy beautiful performances followed by an opportunity to connect with the community over Barossa w**e and cheese.

What a surprise to find this lovely note about my recent talk telling my story of a ‘privileged modern migrant’ in the latest Adelaide Hills Courier! I reflected on how, as a white, European woman, I have enjoyed many privileges, such as living in various countries of my choice, being granted visas and citizenship, etc., that remain elusive to many other migrants.

Thank you so much again to the Barossa German Language Association and Peter and Stefani for the invitation - such a lovely afternoon! I don’t give talks in German very often, which made it extra special.
