Dogs Protection And Awareness Community - DPAAC

Dogs Protection And Awareness Community - DPAAC This page is to spread awareness, knowledge, and information to NSW communities about various ranging dog related issues and responsible dog ownership fact

It has come to the notice of the Shoalhaven community that there has been an increase in the number of stray dogs wandering around the area. This has produced a rise in the number of dog attacks and people being unable to walk their own dogs in peace and happiness. Stray dogs, when captured, are taken to the pound, where in some cases they are abandoned by their owners to be euthanised. This is no

t fair to those dogs, nor the ones who have been victimised. Many incidents can be avoided with more awareness of all aspects of pet ownership and responsibility. Have you been attacked by a stray dog? Do you have any tips on responsible pet ownership? What is your opinion on responsible dog ownership? Should there be more rules in play? Let us know by leaving a comment on this page.

Our Story

Originally called ‘Protect Shoalhaven Dogs’. We are ‘Dogs Protection And Awareness Community’ or DPAAC.

Our goals are to spread awareness, knowledge, and information around the communities of N.S.W, about the various and ranging dog related issues and facts, and always help promote responsible dog ownership in all forms.

We believe that stray, roaming, and abandoned dogs, and a range of dog related issues are under our power to stop. We wish to help eliminate irresponsible dog ownership done by purposeful intent and/or through ignorance. We all need to ensure that all of out furry companions are protected from harm, and all dogs obtain their right to a safe and loving forever home and family.

If you have a story you wish to tell, a comment, question, or wish to share your own experiences and advice about dogs or a dog related issue(s) please contact us here.
