ern Harbour and Beaches link Tunnels & TOLL WAYS. The campaign started with a single person of the group alone picketed the first RMS "information" sessions held in Blues Point Road in March 2017

1 At a meeting held May 21 the group felt it was critical to push far and wide in Sydney and NSW State wide to gain support.

2 Oppose the Governments plans to build more road capacity but more importantly

3 Make the Government consider more viable long term solutions considering traffic volumes are decreasing proved by RMS data to be seen in this page

4 Push for the $24bil allocated to building the tunnels to be directed to Bushfire and Flood recovery

We have argued for Sustainable Transport Options & Plans (STOP) that were promised to the communities of the Northern Beaches Lower North Shore and North Sydney in 2014. Unfortunately the strategy has always been rigorously opposed by other later groups including the North Sydney Combined Precinct Committee and Stop the tunnels group focused on mitigation and/or moving the Beaches Link Tunnel further north or building more exhaust stacks along its length instead of exposing the fraught economics behind the Tunnels and that traffic movements that are decreasing overall these groups have failed the community and continue to do so.
