Australian Sailing Australian Sailing is the national sporting organisation (NSO) for sailing, and peak body for recreational boating at Clubs, in Australia.

Australian Sailing is committed to advance the sport of sailing in Australian and international communities in all its forms, and across all levels of participation. By providing leadership to the Clubs and Classes, through the provision of relevant services and support and in the development of high performance practices, we are committed to building the capability and capacity of sailing to be a successful and leading sport in Australia. This undertaking has been distilled to a single statement of intent, built on three principles that define expectation and enunciated by a set of behaviours which are expected of all that hold office, work and volunteer at Australian Sailing;

Zhik Youth Sail ACT 2026 | Day 2 Photos!

Another awesome day on Lake Burley Griffin!

Day 2 brought plenty more coaching and racing across all our fleets, as well as a special guest session with Paris 2024 Olympian Rhiannan Brown! A fantastic opportunity for our young sailors to hear about her experiences and journey through the sport.

Simon Bibby has been making progress at the World Sailing Inclusion Championships in Portugal, competing in the inaugural Inclusive Wingfoil event.

Despite some challenging racing conditions, Simon has continued to build confidence and improve his performance on the water, recording two 5th-place finishes in the Open Seated division and placing 2nd among Para athletes in recent races 👏

Australian Sailing is proud to support Simon as he represents Australia on the international stage, showcasing what's possible for athletes with disability and demonstrating the potential of Para Wing Foiling.

We remain committed to supporting World Sailing's bid for sailing's reinstatement at the Brisbane 2032 Paralympic Games.

Day two of the World Sailing Inclusion Championships (Tuesday 6 October) brought more personal milestones, growing confidence and increasingly competitive racing, as athletes from established and first-time nations continued to make their mark in Portugal.
