TRACA Chair Nick Cameron chaired today’s bi-monthly meeting of TRACA’s member organisations.
“TRACA’s strength comes from the diversity of its members. These meetings are an important way to hear many Aboriginal voices so we can work together on the important issues affecting Tasmania’s Aboriginal people.”
— Nick Cameron, TRACA Chair
Over the coming weeks, we’ll introduce the rest of TRACA’s committee and share more about the powerful work underway.

Love seeing practical workshops like this being offered in community, focused on confidence, self-awareness and backing yourself. Great initiative from Circular Head Aboriginal Corporation and everyone involved.

Parrdarrama Pungenna Aboriginal Corporation directors and community members spent time on Country this week at Slopen Main located on Turrakana (Tasman Peninsula). 🌿🌊

The land is owned by the Tasmanian Land Conservancy who are regenerating this part of Country from farmland back to its original state.

Overlooking Frederick Henry Bay, Slopen Main Reserve protects a rich mosaic of native vegetation, including ten threatened vegetation communities covering 670 hectares, this property also features a large, nationally vulnerable saltmarsh that is habitat for many wetland species including migratory shorebirds, frogs, reptiles and invertebrates.
