👟🏀 Great first night of our Community Foundation Shoe Sale!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by tonight, picked up a pair or had a look through the shoes. We sold a few pairs and still have plenty available for Wednesday night!

Shoes are mostly adult sizes, with prices starting from $10, $20 and $30. We also have some available for whatever donation you reckon.

And yes - we’re still accepting shoe donations! If you have basketball shoes at home that you no longer need, bring them along and we’ll happily give them a chance at a second life.

👟 SHOE SALE! 🏀

Thanks to the generosity of our basketball community, we have more than 65 pairs of pre-loved basketball shoes ready to find new homes!

Shoes will be available for a minimum donation, with a range of sizes available (mostly adult sizes).

Thanks to our generous local community, the shoe drive now has 62 pairs looking for new homes! Some are brand new and all have plenty of wear left in them.

Shoes will be available by donation on Monday Aug 17 and Wednesday Aug 19 between 5.30pm and 7.00 pm at the stadium.

It’s not too late to add to the pile…. Just drop in any you want to donate.

Update on Shoe Drive:

15 pairs have been collected towards our goal of 50 pairs to provide affordable basketball shoes to local families.

Donations can be made at Newcastle Basketball Stadium on Wednesday 24 June or Friday 26 June between 5pm and 7pm. Alternative drop-off arrangements can be made by contacting us directly.

COMMUNITY FOUNDATION VOLUNTEER NETWORK ||
(Non-governance opportunity)

The Newcastle Basketball Community Foundation is building a volunteer network to support fundraising, events and community initiatives across our sport.

The Foundation exists to reduce barriers so more young people in our region can play, coach and referee basketball. From time to time, we need extra hands to help bring these opportunities to life.

We’re inviting expressions of interest from people who may be keen to:

- Assist at fundraising events or activities at the stadium
- Help with raffles, promotions or behind-the-scenes support
- Support specific community projects as opportunities arise

Joining the volunteer network does not mean committing to every activity. It simply means you’re happy to be contacted when opportunities become available.
