We were challenged from Luke 8 to take seriously how we respond to Jesus' words 👀👂. For us who have such privilege of knowledge and revelation of God's plans fulfilled in Jesus, we have all the more responsibility to respond to it, and God will judge each accordingly.

The great news that we get to reflect on especially as Christmas draws near is that Jesus came into the world to save sinners! He came as the perfect Son of God who never sinned and yet took the punishment in our place by dying on the cross ✝️. God raised him to life on the third day as the Lord of all and all who accept this gift of grace can enjoy new life with him too! ✨🕊 Jesus' sacrifice has brought us into peace with God and to be a part of his family 💒.

"Prayerfully proclaiming the crucified Christ as Lord of all, we evangelise, teach, train and send each other as God’s servants into all the world."

A couple of weeks ago, we had our bittersweet FOCUS Celebration - bitter because we are sad to see friends go 😭, sweet because we are excited to send people from our ministry as God's servants into all the world 🙏🏻.

It was such an encouraging time hearing how God has grown all these individuals in their faith and service throughout their time here, whether they have been here a short time or a long time, whether they are students, grads or staff members.

If you are a student at UNSW, come and make the most of the opportunities at CBS to evangelise, be taught, be trained, and consider how you too can be sent with the gospel 🌍︎.

Last Sunday, we looked at the values us christians should have as we live our life of following Jesus in faith. We also see how our christian life is not a life free of pain and challenge, because our true rest is in heaven.

Ultimately, we know that God provides. Hope you have been encouraged to persevere on the christian faith!

In Luke 5, we saw how Jesus links the 'external' with the 'internal' as he goes around healing people of their physical sicknesses, while showing and teaching that his main mission was to heal people of their spiritual sickness: sin.

"Good people go to hell, bad people go to heaven."

Do you see yourself as someone who is sick and in need of Jesus' forgiveness of your sins? The good news of the gospel is that Jesus came to save those who can't save themselves and recognise their need for a saviour! 🙏🏻🥰

Last Sunday, we heard about Jesus’ victory over Satan’s temptation that us humans (and also those in the bible) could not overcome.

What a blessing it is to have a Jesus as our Lord and King who has power over evil!

It was refreshing to hear that being blessed does not mean being rich of earthy materials and achievements, but that we find true richness in Jesus—the true blessing we can receive 🙂

Knowing that we are blessed to have Jesus as our Lord, INVITE your friends and loved ones TOMORROW for church so that they too can MEET JESUS and hear how they can FIND PEACE in him 😎
