🕌 Summary of today’s Jumu’ah: *Rising Above Tit-for-Tat 🕌*

✨ One of the greatest tests of character is not how we behave when people treat us well, but how we behave when they treat us poorly.

📖 In the story of the two sons of Adam, Hābil said:

“If you stretch out your hand to kill me, I will not stretch out my hand to kill you. Indeed, I fear Allah, Lord of the worlds.” (Qur’an 5:28)

🔹 Key Lessons:

🌱 Don’t let another person’s sin become an excuse for your own sin.

🌱 True strength is controlling yourself when provoked.

🌱 Taqwa means responding according to Allah’s commands, not according to emotions.

🌱 Your character should be anchored in Allah, not in people’s behavior.

🌱 The believer acts upon principles, not reactions.

❌ The world says:
• “Give them a taste of their own medicine.”
• “Treat them how they treated you.”
• “Get even.”

✅ The Qur’an teaches:
• Be just even with those you dislike.
• Do not let hatred lead you to injustice.
• Maintain righteousness under provocation.

📖 Allah says:

“Do not let the hatred of a people lead you to injustice. Be just; that is closer to taqwa.” (Qur’an 5:8)

🤲 This does not mean accepting oppression or abandoning justice. It means:

✔️ Not initiating wrongdoing.
✔️ Not acting out of revenge or hatred.
✔️ Remaining conscious of Allah in difficult situations.
✔️ Seeking justice without losing your character.

💎 The timeless lesson of Hābil:

“Indeed, I fear Allah, Lord of the worlds.”

May Allah make us people whose actions are guided by taqwa, not by the behavior of others. Ameen

🌿 *Summary of today’s Jumu’ah: The Sanctity of Life and Abortion in Islam*🌿

🔹 One of the primary objectives of Islamic law is the preservation of human life.

📖 The Qur’an teaches that human life develops through stages in the womb, all under the care and decree of Allah (23:14)

⚖️ In discussing abortion, scholars consider:
• The nature of the fetus
• The stages of fetal development
• When the fetus is regarded as a human life deserving full protection

🤲 Classical scholars generally held that ensoulment occurs at approximately 120 days based on authentic hadith.

🚫 After ensoulment, abortion is unanimously prohibited except in exceptional circumstances, such as a serious threat to the mother’s life.

⚕️ Islam values both the life of the unborn child and the life of the mother and approaches these issues with wisdom, justice, and mercy.

📚 Scholars differed regarding abortion before ensoulment:
• Some permitted it under limited conditions.
• Some considered it disliked.
• Others prohibited it from conception.

🩺 Based on another ahadith which mentions 42 nights (Approx 5/6 weeks) in which ensoulmet occurs as well as modern medical advancement shows that fetal development begins very early, leading many contemporary scholars to call for greater caution even before 120 days.

💡 Difficult cases involving:
• Serious health complications or danger to mothers life
• Severe fetal abnormalities

Should be discussed with qualified scholars and trustworthy medical professionals, in such exceptional circumstances abortion may be permissible.

🌱 Islam is a religion of mercy and respect for life. Every life is a trust from Allah.

📖 Allah says:
“Do not kill the soul which Allah has made sacred except with right.” (17:33)

🛡️ Islam also seeks to prevent situations that may lead to abortion by:
• Promoting chastity and modesty
• Facilitating marriage
• Strengthening families
• Supporting mothers
• Educating about the sanctity of life

📖 Allah says:
“Do not even approach zina. Indeed, it is an obscenity and an evil path.” (17:32)

💰 Allah also reminds us:
“Do not kill your children for fear of poverty; We provide for them and for you.” (17:31)

✨ Key Takeaway:

The goal is not simply to say, “Abortion is prohibited.”

Rather, Islam seeks to build a community where:

🤝 Marriage is facilitated
🛡️ Chastity is honoured
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Families are strong
🤱 Mothers are supported
👶 Children are valued
❤️ Those in hardship find mercy, guidance, and support

🌟 By strengthening these foundations, many situations that lead people to consider abortion can be prevented before they arise.

🤲 May Allah protect our families, guide our youth, and grant us wisdom, compassion, and steadfastne

Ameen.

🌙 *Summary of today’s Jumu‘ah Khutbah: The Days of Tashrīq*🌙

🕌 The remembrance of Allah (dhikr) is among the greatest acts of worship and a means of salvation from Allah’s punishment.
❤️ Dhikr gives life, peace, tranquility, and contentment to the heart.

🌟 The Days of Tashrīq

📅 The Days of Tashrīq (11th–13th of Dhul-Hijjah) are:
🍽️ Days of eating and drinking
☝️ Days of remembering Allah
😊 Days of gratitude and joy

📖 The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The Days of Tashrīq are days of eating, drinking, and remembrance of Allah.”

🚫 Fasting is prohibited during these days.

✨ Virtue of These Days

🌙 They are among the greatest days in the sight of Allah.

📖 The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The greatest days before Allah are the Day of Sacrifice (Yawm al-Nahr), then the Day of Resting (Yawm al-Qarr).”

🕋 These days conclude the blessed season of the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah and the rites of Hajj.

🤲 Remembrance After Worship

📿 Allah legislated abundant remembrance after completing major acts of worship:
🕌 After salah
🌙 After Jumu‘ah
🕋 After Hajj

💭 This teaches believers to end acts of worship with gratitude and remembrance rather than heedlessness.

💡 Meaningful Dhikr

🗣️ True remembrance is not merely verbal repetition.

❤️ The believer should:
💭 Reflect upon the meanings of dhikr
📖 Understand what is being said
☝️ Combine heart and tongue together in remembrance

🔊 Takbīr During the Days of Tashrīq

✅ It is highly recommended to:
📿 Recite takbīr throughout the days
🕌 Especially after obligatory prayers until sunset of the 13th of Dhul-Hijjah

👥 The Sahabah openly proclaimed takbīr in Mina, marketplaces, gatherings, and homes.

🌸 Combining Physical and Spiritual Joy

☪️ Islam combines:
🍽️ Bodily enjoyment (food and drink)
❤️ Spiritual enjoyment (dhikr and gratitude)

🤲 Gratitude itself is another blessing requiring further gratitude.

💎 Using Blessings Correctly

🍞 Food, wealth, and blessings should assist a person in obeying Allah.

⚠️ Using Allah’s blessings for sins is a form of ingratitude.

📚 Ibn Rajab explained:
🍽️ Eating and drinking on Eid days are meant to strengthen a believer for worship and remembrance.

🛤️ Lessons About the Dunya and Akhirah

🌍 This worldly life is like the journey of Hajj:
🕋 The believer restrains desires like a pilgrim in ihram.
🌹 Patience in this life leads to eternal enjoyment in Paradise.

🌴 Paradise is described as:
😊 Eternal days of joy, eating, drinking, and remembrance without hardship.

⚖️ Warnings Against Sin

🌟 Whoever sacrifices forbidden desires for Allah will attain reward later.

⚠️ Whoever rushes toward unlawful pleasures may be deprived in the Hereafter.

🍷 Example:
Whoever drinks wine unlawfully in this world will be deprived of it in Paradise.

📝 Final Reflections

⏳ Life passes quickly for everyone:
🌟 The righteous
😔 The negligent

🌸 The obedient eventually forgets the hardship of worship and only remembers the sweetness of reward.

⚠️ The sinner forgets temporary pleasures but finds the bitterness of sins recorded against him.

🤲 Muslims should fill these blessed days with:
📿 Dhikr
🤲 Gratitude
🔊 Takbīr
☪️ Obedience
🌙 Reflection upon Allah’s blessings and
