📋✍️ CENSUS 2026 – NEED A HAND? ✍️📋

Census Night is tomorrow, Tuesday 11 August 2026, and I know there’s been some frustration across our communities from people who haven’t yet received their Census number or paper form.

While the Census is run by the Australian Government and isn’t something I have any control over as your State MP, my office has had quite a few people getting in touch, so I wanted to share some information that may help.

Census staff can answer questions, help you complete your Census and provide paper forms where available.

I know it can be frustrating when something that should be straightforward isn’t, particularly when you’re unsure where to turn for help.

Did you know you’re welcome to come to our free disco, with thanks to even if you don’t want to skate? There’s also tennis, dancing and ping pong on offer. Our discos are for the community at large, not just skaters. Give your kids a screen free evening of fun and delight.

Meals on Wheels volunteers do this every day across NSW. More than just a meal, it's a connection that matters.

Another lovely ladies luncheon held yesterday (we even forgot to take photos until the very end). Another great way for our volunteers and clients to chat and socialise.

Thank you to 26 on Bolton for providing us with with a delicious lunch and Narrandera Bowling Club with a great facility to use.

National Meals on wheels day is celebrated annually on the last Wednesday in August. This year it falls on 26th August.

This day honours the work volunteers and staff perform delivering nutritious meals, well being checks and social connection to older and vulnerable people.

Between now and 26th August we will provide lots of fun facts about our service.

If you are keen to help us we would love the assistance of more volunteers.

A huge Thank you to Narrandera Shire Council as we were successful in obtaining a grant to purchase 6 new eskies (which will be done as soon as they are back in stock).

These will be wonderful for our service and helps ensure all meals are delivered safely by our dedicated volunteers.
