If you see someone who you suspect is having stroke-like symptoms, call 000 immediately and inform the call-taker of what you are seeing. Remember, people don't need to have all of the symptoms to be having a stroke!

A snippet from an amazing day volunteering at the SEVEN Gravel Race 🙌

St John WA - Nannup was joined by volunteers from other local sub-centres, Event Health Services and local Paramedics to provide a Medical Tent, Static First Aid Posts, On Course Fast Response and Patient Transport - whilst also ensuring good town cover for 000 calls! Phew!

Shout out to our volunteers who get to celebrate National Volunteer Week starting today!

Whilst I am sure we are all recovering some what from the weekend’s events, I’d love to take this opportunity to thank all of our amazing Nannup Sub-Centre Volunteers - on road members, background operators, fleet and asset management crew and committee members. We see you all, we appreciate you all, and we thank every single one of you 🫶🏻

When you need help in an emergency, you call 000. With Christmas fast approaching, sometimes families need help that 000 services can’t provide… or can they?

Here are two of our beautiful, dedicated volunteers; Jenny and Zoe, on the Anglicare Christmas Appeal run. With collection stops at Bridgetown and Bunbury as well, these ladies helped to deliver Christmas cheer to those in need this December.

The 5th of December celebrates International Volunteer Day (and only 20 days until Christmas!), and the St John WA - Nannup crew enjoyed the evening with our annual December get together. Things are afoot with our wonderful sub centre with plans including fresh paint, finalising our new shed, and rustling up some more volunteers to join us in active on-road duties. If you ask me, volunteering with SJWA has been the best thing I have ever done for myself and my community.

We live in an area that has an abundance of wildlife, with gravel roads and long distances to travel.
In the year 2022-2023, St John WA responded to 6,078 motor vehicle accidents, that’s almost 1 every 90 minutes.

Some of you may know of the initiative formally known as Click to Save, now known as First Aid for New Drivers. This is an online course aimed at supporting drivers with the necessary skills to navigate emergencies at the road side.
