Creative, Passionate & Strengths-Focused We’re excited to introduce Ana, a fantastic member of the Alchemy Services team.

Ana has been with Alchemy for over a year, bringing with her valuable experience from her time as a School Services Officer in local school settings. She has a strong background in supporting young people with diverse needs and is passionate about helping participants work toward their goals in practical, creative, and engaging ways

✨ Ana loves the variety that mentoring brings and thrives on building positive, supportive relationships. Her approach is strengths-based, flexible, and always tailored to each individual, helping to foster confidence, independence, and skill development in meaningful ways 💫

🍕 Skill‑building in action! 🍕
Today we’re celebrating some fantastic woodworking by Connor, who created this beautiful handmade pizza board, inspired by his all-time favourite food, ham and cheese pizza! With the support of Jay, he worked through the project step by step, using a wide range of tools and developing both practical skills and confidence along the way.

Connor’s favourite part of the process was using the sander, an activity Jay encouraged and supported him to explore safely while building independence and pride in his work.

Jay played an important role throughout, offering guidance, adapting the activity to suit his interests and strengths, and creating a supportive environment where learning felt enjoyable and empowering.
Projects like this are about more than the finished product, though this one is certainly pizza-worthy.

Together Jay and Connor have shown how strong mentoring can build skills, confidence, and meaningful engagement. A fantastic effort and a great example of mentoring in action 👏🪵✨

At Alchemy Services, we believe change happens through relationships.

We are looking for caring, compassionate people from our local community to join our team as Carers / Mentors, supporting individuals living with disability in Murray Bridge and surrounds.

✨ No experience required – if you bring kindness, patience and a genuine desire to support others, we will provide training, mentoring and ongoing support.
✨ Experienced carers and support workers are also very welcome.

Dom had the best day 'Doing Good Things'

He and mentor Kai, set out to make a difference in the community by picking up rubbish.

During their time Dom, not only collected rubbish by the river. He connected with nature.

* Worked on his fine motor skills
* Sorted items by sight and sometimes touch - nature or man made.
* Expressed, questioned and discussed items if they were nature or rubbish, to leave or collect and explained why each thing fitted into each category.
* Respectfully connected with members of the public

* His body was calm, his mind focused.

* He was happy, proud and polite.

* He recognised shape, size and feel

This was a time he didn't need another to hold space for him, he confidently and purposefully could hold his own space.

These times are where they learn, grow, re discover and connect to self.

A good mentor is patient, kind & trusted. They listen and observe.

A good mentor provides opportunities and experiences for kids to discover more about them, about life and their environment.

A good mentor journeys beside kids when society knocks them, judges them and is blinded to see their true capacity.

A good mentor sees past behaviour and understands it as communication and sees and feels their magic.

A good mentor holds space in the storm for transformation to occur.

A good mentor is there for the child, not their own needs, is reflective of their practice and works through overwhelm or triggers to be their best version.

Being a mentor is not a job, its a privilege.

Cindy is one of our dedicated mentors at Alchemy who enjoys working with a wide range of individuals, supporting people to build confidence, connection, and everyday life skills 🤝

She brings a calm, genuine approach to mentoring and values taking the time to truly get to know each person as an individual.
Outside of mentoring, Cindy enjoys swimming 🏊‍♀️, bushwalking 🌿, music 🎵, and getting creative through arts and crafts 🎨

These interests often help spark meaningful conversations and shared activities, supporting natural and relaxed connections with the people she supports.

Cindy currently has availability across the Murraylands📍 and looks forward to supporting individuals on their journey towards positive and lasting change 🌱

🌟 Meet Maria, A Beautiful Soul on Our Team!

We’re so excited to introduce Maria, a valued member of the Alchemy Services team.

Maria brings warmth, compassion, and a genuine love for helping others to everything she does. Originally from the Philippines, she’s now built a beautiful life here in Australia with her husband of 21 years and their three children. As a proud mum, Maria understands the importance of care, patience, and connection in everyday life ✨

Known for her friendly and approachable nature (and her contagious laugh!), Maria is someone people instantly feel comfortable around. She is deeply passionate about supporting others and feels truly privileged to be a mentor, always taking the time to listen, connect, and provide meaningful support.

Since joining Alchemy Services, Maria has embraced every moment, building strong relationships with both participants and colleagues, and contributing to the warm, supportive environment we’re so proud of.
